Salary: £65,000 - £75,000 per annum, based on experience
Location: We have hybrid working in place, with 1-2 days per week, in our office in Canary Wharf.
What exactly will you be doing?
As a Full Stack Web Developer, you will play a crucial role in contributing to the delivery of digital projects and maintaining a high standard for our online presence. You will collaborate with technical, business and management teams on the development, developer testing, and maintenance of existing and new bespoke AAT online services. Additionally, you will work closely with Business Analysts and Product Owners to define and architect technical solutions and appropriate documentation to address business objectives. This role sits within our Performance and Transformation portfolio and reports into the Technical Solutions and Development Manager.
Major objectives
The major objectives are:
Contribute to delivering digital projects while maintaining exemplary standards for AAT's online presence, supporting the enhancement of our digital products.
Collaborate seamlessly with technical, business, and management teams on the development, testing, and maintenance of bespoke online services.
Partner with Business Analysts and Product Owners to define technical solutions and documentation that address core business objectives.
Spearhead front-end design, UX, UI, and full-stack development, transforming concepts into visually appealing and functional user interfaces, websites and web apps.
Champion best practices like OWASP, JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular, CSS, BEM, cloud architectures, database design and RESTful APIs while integrating with AAT's platform.
What are we looking for?
Proven experience in website conception and development, working as part of a service delivery team, and delivering projects independently and within teams utilising Scrum/Agile methodologies.
Solid understanding of usability, accessibility and web design principles, as well as Agile principles and development processes.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Ability to work in a team.
Outstanding time management, negotiation skills and the ability to think creatively and present technical ideas persuasively to non-technical colleagues.
Relevant professional qualifications, training or work experience is required.
AWS Developer or Solutions Architect Associate certification is advantageous.
Highly organised individual with the capability for influencing and negotiating with stakeholders.
Comprehensive technical skillset encompassing JavaScript, SQL/NoSQL, HTML5, CSS, SASS, CI/CD, Git workflows, OWASP security, Docker, Node.js, AWS serverless services, Angular, accessibility standards, performance optimisation, SEO best practices, and Atlassian products.
