The role involves working with our client, providing administrative support, sighted guidance and driving support thus facilitating their own professional role.
The client is blind Assistant Finance Manager working in the Leicestershire seeking a PA/Support worker to provide support on a phased return to work with an immediate start.
Work Schedule:
2 weeks working Mon, Wed & Fri in the office
6 weeks increase to 4 days working in the office
Ongoing: 5 days, Monday's in the office 4 days from home for 38 hours per week
About the Role:
• Support with administration duties including, but not limited to; note taking, collecting photocopies, taking minutes of meetings, typing up minutes, proof reading, filing, organising paperwork into plastic files
• Carrying folders/documents, to empty individuals office bin (due to mobility constraints)
• Act as a sighted guide for individual when she is out on visits (as well as in the office); give verbal ques such as step left/right, identify steps going up or down, open doors, trip hazards, read aloud signage/directions etc.
• Drive or travel with individual to all appointments – internally & externally
• Making refreshments throughout the day
• Inputting information into departmental software system (some training provided)
• Attend training and development sessions as and when needed.
About You:
· You will be able to demonstrate:
· A high level of written/verbal communication and professionalism
· Excellent computer skills
· Full UK driving licence and use of own car
· Have strong typing skills and the ability to take act as a scribe for our client.
· Have a valid DBS and be able to provide proof (required, preferably on the updating register
· Demonstrate a high level of trust, integrity with a good understanding of confidentiality
· Punctual, organised and reliable
· Excellent observational skills, with an eye for detail
· Adaptable to change
· Proactive and able to use your own initiative
Hours and Benefits:
Rate of Pay: £14.35
Working hours are up to 38 hours weekly Monday to Friday
Pension contributions are supported and holiday entitlement is made.
