The Role

As a Design Manager, you will manage the design process for a variety of construction projects to achieve on-time, on-budget results.

Leading the project design phase, you will provide technical support and advise on design issues, maintain compliance with regulations and support the Commercial Department in identifying potential returns from design changes.

You’ll also oversee Health & Safety principles in design, fire safety plans, building control compliance and sustainability standards.

Additionally, you will:

- Ensure successful project delivery from estimation to handover
- Conduct site assessments and review topographical surveys, drainage and structural calculations
- Manage project value engineering and site setup plans
- Assist Contract and Site Managers with design and interface challenges

About You

To be considered as our Design Manager, you will need:

- Experience in design management for a contractor
- Experience working on several projects simultaneously
- Experience using AutoCAD
- Knowledge of SMART Waste, BREEAM and building regulations
- An understanding of NHBC standards
- Contract awareness
- An architecture or construction related degree or equivalent qualification
- A full, valid driving licence

This is a varied and challenging role requiring a highly organised and efficient individual with proven technical, aesthetic, administrative and cleaning skills. The working hours for this post are 8.30am – 4.30pm, Monday to Thursday and 8.30am - 4.00pm on Fridays, on a permanent contract to start in September 2024.
Lytchett Minster is a successful 11-18 mixed comprehensive school with approximately 1550 students, 288 of whom are in the exceptional sixth form. Role & Responsibilities:

The post involves a wide variety of FPGA design tasks supporting system design

This is a specialist role. Need to know the ins and outs of FPGA Design.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

• 2 years of significant experience in FPGA design and be able to demonstrate a sound understanding of the principals involved
• Verilog design on a range of FPGA and SOC devices (Xilinx, MicroSemi, Lattice, Altera).
• Experience of working in multi-disciplinary teams on fast paced projects is expected.
• Experience of working in A multi-disciplinary teams on fast paced projects is expected. A good understanding of the interaction between the FPGA, software and hardware design disciplines is required.
