A great opportunity to be joining an exciting division of Saga. The Saga Money and Publishing Finance team is currently looking for a Finance Business Partner to join the FP&A and Commercial team.
You will take full responsibility for the financial partnering and support element across our team. This will involve regular business partnering with key stakeholders within the business units giving financial guidance to all key stakeholders.
You will cover cornerstone items such as 5-year plans, budgets, forecasts, month-end performance as well trading, operational and project related finance support. This role will work closely with and support the Head of Finance, Finance Director and CFO.
We offer flexibility over where you work – you choose a place where you feel most comfortable and productive, either from home or in one of our hubs in London or Kent. Our Finance and Money teams come together most weeks to collaborate.

Main ResponsibilitiesOur Finance Business Partner will be fully responsible for the preparation, delivery and oversight of the following areas;
- Lead production, with team assistance of forecasts, as well as the annual 5YP and budget (P&L, Balance Sheet & Cash flow).
- Finance input on trading targets / planning.
- Preparation / review of monthly management accounts.
- Review / analysis of the completions and MI; volumes and margins.
- Supporting and preparing presentations for the Board on strategy and new initiatives.
- Providing support for financial, trading and trend reporting both internally and externally.
- Business partnering with the key stakeholders to ensure that the above elements are produced to a high degree of accuracy.
- Ensuring finance is well represented within the business and maintains an outward facing presence.
The Ideal CandidateYou would have already worked in a Finance Business Partnering role which focused on strategy, financial planning and analysis. Ideally from a B2B organisation / financial services environment. You will also need to demonstrate the following qualifications, skills and experience;
- A natural business communicator who is commercially aware.
- Have a can-do attitude / takes initiative / self-starter.
- Credible, can instantly establish rapport with colleagues at all levels, including Heads of and Directors.
- Ability to collaborate and run with high profile projects.
- Analytically strong with the ability to challenge and think creatively.
- Fully Qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA.
- Demonstrate advanced Excel skills.
- Experience of Financial services company preferable but not essential.
- Systems knowledge / experience on TM1/Dream/Workday preferable but not essential.
- Ability to work well as part of a team and supervise more junior colleagues.
