The primary purpose of this position is: To serve as project manager/team lead to conduct comprehensive wartime manpower requirements determination studies and organizational analysis of the Wartime Analytics Division (MAW). Conducts Total Force (TF) wartime and contingency manpower requirements studies conducted at the request of HQ USAF and other military functional Offices of Primary Responsibility (OPRs), thru the Wartime Analytics Division, Air Force Manpower Analysis Agency (AFMAA), or at the direction of HQ USAF Director of Manpower and Organization (AF/A1M). Manages and validates Air Force unit type codes (UTC) for the Air Force and Joint wartime/contingency planning communities. Conducts comprehensive Geographical Combatant Command studies. Conducts special manpower studies as directed. Leads projects/studies that may cross-utilize other functional areas of expertise within HQ USAF, Sister Services, other major commands (MAJCOMs), or Air Force Manpower Analysis Agency (AFMAA) divisions.

• Manages the command's military and civilian manpower programs. Responsible for the Strength Management of the Directorate's U.S. Army, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Navy and U.S. Marine Corps, Civilian and Active Component billets on the Joint Table of Distribution (JTD), and Reserve Component billets documented on the command's Joint Table of Mobilization and Distribution (JTMD).
• Manages and advises on the headquarters civilian personnel programs to include, staffing, classification, position management, employee relations, performance management and civilian workforce planning. Provides program oversight, assessment, and consultation services for civilian HR programs.
• Manages the Reserve Affairs Program. Serves as JTF-N Reserve Component (RC) Unit Coordinator providing the command with Army, Navy, Marines, and Air Force personnel for manpower support, which comprise of understanding the complexities of RC authorities and policies, managing the Joint Reserve manning document (JTMD), procuring funding streams, and coordination across various commands for total force integration in alignment with USNORTHCOM mission.

They can be hired under a streamlined process instead of a competitive process.
