The Human Resources Specialist (Strategic Business Partner) applies a wide range of HR concepts, principles, laws, regulations, and practices, to include OPM requirements, VHA specific policy and labor organization agreements for Title 5, Hybrid T38 and full Title 38 positions. Human Resources Specialist provides custom recruitment strategies and consultative services based upon occupational knowledge of current local and regional market area, and resolves difficult and controversial internal and external staffing and placement problems. Major duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Evaluates applications and resumes using Office of Personnel Management (OPM) and Veterans Administration (VA) qualification standards, verifies eligibility, and rates and ranks applicants;
• Processes a variety of requests for personnel action to fill a variety of positions;
• Provides technical advice and assistance to the HR staff and management officials in all areas of staffing and recruitment, including priority placement, direct hiring, special hiring authorities, etc.;
• Advises and consults on targeted recruitment strategies and non-traditional recruitment opportunities specific to the local and regional market area, such as conducting targeted job fairs and community outreach, utilizing social media, planning recruitment campaigns, etc.;
• Consults on a variety of factor in the recruitment process, such as position management and organizational design; pay administration for Title 5, Title 38, and Hybrid employees; VetPro Credentialing; position descriptions, functional statements, scopes of practice; and job analysis;
• Evaluates trends in missions, technology, manpower, fiscal resources, and other factors influencing future needs;
• Applies quantitative and qualitative data to advise local, regional and national leadership in regard to recruitment trends, such as providing data in annual workforce planning cycles and advanced recruitment strategies; and
• Recommends strategies for overcoming employment barriers;
• Completes a variety of difficult and complex work assignments to provide consultative services to HR staff and Service Chiefs at Network facilities on technical matters which involve recruitment decisions, and pay related issues such as pay responding to employee inquiries, initiating recruitment incentives, LEAF requests, and SLRP packages;
• Conducts detailed planning to gather and interpret information and data for assessing complex staffing problems, issues and unusual circumstances such as Equal Opportunity Employment (EEO) data gathering, Labor Partnership Council, Congressional Inquiries, and Awards Board related activities.

As Security Engineer, Identity and Access Management (IAM) Analyst at Money and Pensions Service (MaPS), you will be responsible for supporting the Cyber Security Manager and the Identity and Access Manager with cybersecurity and IAM operations, continuous service improvement and identity management, protecting the organisation’s cloud technology platforms, data and identities.

The post holder will ensure that best practices for cybersecurity and IAM are implemented and documented, and that the organisation is compliant with regulatory and audit requirements.
Duties include managing the operational security and IAM toolsets including MIMECast, Windows Defender, Symantec WSS, Tenable and Microsoft Office 365 Security and Compliance, Intune and JAMF for MAC security, Entra ID and Okta.

The role will embed regular reporting of the security and IAM performance of the technology infrastructure and report on exceptions or breaches of policies and procedures.
This position will be working with colleagues across the organisation, including an outsourced managed security operations centre and provide cover for the Cyber Security Manager and Identity Manager.

The role includes hands on activities to deliver and support the Cyber and IAM Strategy. The Security Analyst should have a number of years’ experience in the security industry and hold a broad skillset enabling them to support numerous technologies quickly and effectively. MaPS are seeking a dynamic Workforce and Planning Manager to join the team and lead the resourcing and planning efforts. Reporting directly to the Head of Guidance Services and Customer Protection Strategy, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the services are efficiently resourced and performance management systems are robust and effective.

The Workforce and Planning Manager will report directly to the Head of Guidance Services and Customer Protection Strategy. In this role you will be responsible for the following;

• Ensure accurate and timely performance reporting is provided and used to make key resourcing decisions and organisational reports
• Work closely with Delivery teams, QA Support services and training teams, to ensure all our services are appropriately resourced, taking responsibility for making resourcing decisions based upon use of best available data
• Working with other Service leads, maintain and build upon our performance management reporting, ensuring data is shared with key internal stakeholders and effective and ongoing analysis is undertaken on the delivery of KPIs
• Working with other Service leads, you will take the lead on resource elements of our planning work and ensure we maintain and develop our capacity and demand forecasting capability, working with business intelligence and data teams to ensure approaches are aligned and consistent
• Develop strong, accurate and up to date planning processes around the timing of recruitment and onboarding activity, smoothing activity peaks and ensuring that any resources required to support activity are within peoples workplans and appropriately supported
• Providing expert advice and guidance on how any transformation may impact what and how we deliver to our customers and any implications this may have on how we think about resource allocation
• Ensure workforce and resource management issues and risks are captured within the overall risk monitoring processes
• Liaise with departments across the organisation to ensure timely decision making on recruitment issues and equipment
• Provide support to Service leads, business support coordinators and shift supervisors, ensuring BAU commitments are maintained and any new issues arising from the growth in new staff are identified, escalated and addressed as appropriate

• A strong understanding of service delivery particularly in complex areas with high performing teams, with experience of managing and supporting change
• Highly experienced in the development and management of shift systems, workforce planning and forecasting
