Pre-Construction Manager - Bristol - Tier 1

An opportunity has arisen to join a leading construction main contractor, who is looking for a Pre-Construction Manager to come and join the team. As the Pre-Construction Manager, you will be tasked with undertaking all pre-construction activities. You will work closely with design teams, providing invaluable input during the tender stage and ensuring a smooth transition to the construction phase.

Your day to day will look like:

• Manage and coordinate all Pre-Construction activities
• Manage the Pre-Construction process from tender issue through to handover to the operational team
• Work collaboratively with the members of the Pre-Construction team, inclusive of governance, commercial, estimating, planning, and design management to ensure milestones are identified, monitored, and achieved to successfully complete the Pre-Construction process
• Attend site visits to view the projects during the Pre-Construction stage and engage with designers and supply chain partners as necessary to inform the detailed design and pricing process

Requirements for the role:

• Degree qualified
• Previous Pre-Construction experience with a main contractor
• A proven record of successful project delivery
• The ability to maintain relationships with clients, customers, and suppliers
• Full UK Drivers Licence

Based within the stunning offices in Gloucester, this is a chance to be a part of a supportive and flexible company that have a very low turnover of staff and work within a role that will offer great variety along with the opportunity to learn and develop.

Previous experience in this role is not necessary, so long as you have an interest in construction and a willingness to learn. Essentially, we are looking for someone with a great attitude and personality who is keen to do a good job, learn and develop.

Responsibilities
- Source, procure and hire plant equipment and construction materials from suppliers.
- Negotiating best prices with suppliers.
- Occasional hands-on collection and movement of heavy equipment from office storage, ready for pickup.
- Maintaining supplier relationships.
- Stick to project timelines, chasing up departments as needed.
- General administration and ad-hoc office duties.

Hours – 37.5h per week - Monday – Friday

Salary - £25,000 - £35,000 (depending on experience) + excellent benefits including:
