Senior Manager Facilities and Engineering
At Amgen Breda medicines are labelled, assembled, stored and eventually shipped to various countries worldwide. Every day more than 1000 people with 38 different nationalities are working on supply chain processes, manufacturing, marketing and sales of our medicines and clinical research into new medicines.

What you will do
As the head of facilities and capital engineering for the site it will be your main priority to build, empower and develop the onsite facilities team and service providers. With their input you will develop a facilities management strategy to operate, maintain and optimize all facilities and assets. You will contribute to our mission to serve patients by ensuring the reliability of our temperature-controlled storage facility, GMP manufacturing areas, utilities and maintaining an inspiring NextGen work environment for all Amgen employees while ensuring compliance with the GMP and safety requirements. As end-responsible for the long-term strategy for the Amgen Breda location, you will ensure we meet our environmental sustainability goals for 2027.

- Lead and mentor a dynamic team of 10 onsite Facility Management Support & Facilities Engineering professionals, along with 40 dedicated on-site service providers.
- Assume strategic responsibility for facilities management across seven buildings, encompassing GMP manufacturing, warehouse, cold store, offices, sports accommodation, and utilities.
- Shape the organization's property strategy and craft a forward-thinking preventative maintenance plan, reliability-centered spare, and maintenance program.
- Oversee capital engineering projects, empowering project managers and engineers to take the lead.
- Innovate workplace strategies, optimizing performance and retaining top-tier talent.
- Navigate negotiations and management of facilities supplier contracts, collaborating closely with procurement on commercial terms and conditions.
- Advice site leadership team on safety, compliance, and sustainability, drawing insights from research, trends, and technical innovations.

- University Degree or relevant experience in Facility Management, Engineering, Real Estate or similar degree.
- Proven experience in an industrial environment (GMP preferred).
- Experienced people manager, able to empower teams.
- Experienced in project management for various types and sizes of capital projects.
- Experienced in leading large contracts both for capital as well as for operational activities.
- Proficient in English, both in oral and written communication.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
