Apprenticeship Programme;
During this programme, we'll help you develop your practical and behavioural skills and support you in gaining the technical and professional knowledge required for you to succeed in your career.
As well as this, you'll also gain a Level 3 Maintenance Operations Engineering Technician Apprenticeship qualification.
With many of our colleagues starting as apprentices, you'll receive full support and guidance from everyone throughout.
By the end of your apprenticeship, you'll have received industry-standard training and attained qualifications that will enable you to progress and reach your full potential.
What you'll be doing;
- Observing, learning and understanding a wide range of engineering skills and processes while under the instruction of skilled technical staff.
- To be able to demonstrate these skills and processes as the training period progresses by working independently or with a team, to undertake tasks as instructed and increase overall contribution to the department.
- Learning how the sites operate and understanding the importance of preventative
maintenance.
- Learning how to prioritise a busy workload.
- Undertake and successfully complete suitable courses throughout the training period, achieving the academic grades and practical skills.
- Leading to the completion of the Level 4 Engineering maintenance qualification.
- Learning and understanding the importance of Health and safety within the workplace.
- To develop the skills to construct or modify products from verbal instructions and
drawings.
- To learn how to maintain workshop equipment and to keep it in good repair.
- To maintain a logbook over the duration of the apprenticeship period, recording projects that have been undertaken and the skills learned.
What we're looking for;
- A minimum of 4 GCSEs Grade 4/C (or equivalent) achieved or predicted, including Maths, Science & English
- Full driving licence
