We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering to support the development and delivery of the curriculum which covers a range of undergraduate, postgraduate Programmes.
Applicants must have a High First Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical subject, and either have a PhD in a relevant research field or commitment to working towards one. Ideally, the post holder will hold a relevant professional membership / accreditation and be committed to further professional and academic development. A teaching qualification relevant to Higher Education will be held, or commitment to achieving one will be required. The ability to communication in Welsh is desirable.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills, with proven experience of writing, collating and submitting documents and in bringing together and coordinating teams. The role is varied and challenging so you will need to be a highly self-motivated individual, who is able to work flexibly and to tight deadlines, both autonomously and as part of a team. A commitment to developing innovative teaching practice including online and the ability to engage with transnational education partners and opportunities plus prior teaching experience at postgraduate and undergraduate level is desirable.
