Cobar Mining village is a part of T.I Hospitality, situated in remote NSW, town of Cobar, over 650km West of Sydney. They provide accommodation, amenities, restaurants, and other food facilities to their customers. The dining room varies from 80 to 120 guests per service for all meals of the day. With such a lively venue with many needs to cater to, T.I Hospitality is looking for a restaurant manager to oversee the food services of this venue.
The Role
T.I Hospitality is looking for a brilliant restaurant manager that can manage our restaurant, café, takeaway & 24hr self-serve hot and cold beverage facilities along with the dining room and outdoor group bookings for BBQ facilities. The main purpose of the role will be to deliver consistent standards with a high level of quality service to customers and the overall business.
Duties
The main duties of the candidate will be to oversee the staff and manage standards as specified below:
• Bookings -managed through emails, phone and booking systems.
• Greeting guests,
• Daily report for bookings.
• Maintaining correct bills issued to guests.
• Maintain up dated details of changes to bookings.
• Rotate to bookings.
• Management of café / coffee machine & barista training
• Managing group bookings and coordinating guest needs for each event, eg, BBQ packs for BBQ area group bookings.
• Management of 24hr self service area, including hot and cold beverage area.
• Collect all weekly cleaning sheet, temperature log and file them.
• Staff Rostering / manage staff costs / utilize staff to the best ability.
• Staff Training,
• Induct New Staff.
• Make sure staff are trained properly before stating their role.
• Explain company rules, guidelines how the operation runs.
• On going Staff Training, maintain on going staff training, improving skill sets and helping staff set goals and the achieve them.
• Accepting deliveries and undertaking proper storage practices for food and beverages.
• Undertaking inventory control and checks.
• Ordering of inventory & beverages
• Maintaining hygiene and meeting industry standards and ensure adherence to OH&S and food handling procedures.
• Cleaning
• Actively involved in staff meeting
Qualifications and Requirements
- AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience may substitute for these formal qualifications and requirements.
- At least 3 years’ experience managing a restaurant and working in the hospitality industry.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and during busy dining periods in the restaurant.
- Organisation and time management skills are essential to the overall operations of the restaurant.
- Proficient management and leadership skills.
- Conflict and dispute resolution skills encouraged.
