North Star Academy Trust is a small multi-academy trust that was set up with the ambition to improve the SEND provision in the South West and provide as many young people as possible with a bespoke, specialist education that is tailored to each individual's needs. We currently consist of a primary school North Star 82°, a secondary North Star 240° and an outreach programme North Star Outreach, with plans to open a third school North Star 265° in 2024.
We are looking to appoint a Finance Administrator to join our Central team dealing with day-to-day finance duties and administration. The successful applicant will ideally have experience of working within a finance environment, the ability to work in a friendly and professional manner with strong planning, organisational and communication skills. This post will be based at our secondary school, North Star 240°, although it may involve work at the other schools in the Trust on occasion.
As Finance Administrator, you will:
• Process all purchase orders and invoices on our Finance System
• Ensure that transactions are processed promptly and in line with the Trusts financial policy
• Develop and maintain effective financial administration systems in order to provide an efficient support service to all budget holders within the Trust
• Maintain an efficient filing and record system
We are looking for someone with:
• A strong background in finance or administration
• Excellent written and verbal skills
• Good planning and organising skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• The ability to work under pressure, prioritise and meet deadlines
• Qualified at Grade C or above in GCSE Maths and English
• Excellent IT skills with proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook
You will be required to work 32.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per annum. Actual salary £20,643 - £22,100 per annum. This is a fixed term position with potential to become permanent.
