About the Finance Team
We are a small but effective friendly team, with a Finance Manager and three Finance Officers. Situated in the business office which also has the Careers, HR and administration functions, there is a great working atmosphere. We are always open to ideas about improving and streamlining processes and encourage professional development for our team members.
About You
We are looking for a flexible, highly effective, efficient and organised Finance Manager who will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the school’s accounting functions.
Core responsibilities will include supervising the work of the team, producing management accounts and reports and working with the Headteacher and Business Manager on budget development, monitoring and review.
Previous work experience within a busy accounts department is essential and applicants must demonstrate commercial and business acumen. The ideal candidate will have a degree or equivalent and A level or equivalent in Maths. Excellent MS office skills e.g. Excel to an advanced level and thorough working knowledge of school financial systems is essential. An AAT, ACCA or CIMA qualification or equivalent is desirable but not essential. Knowledge of safeguarding requirements for working with children would be a distinct advantage but not essential.
