Your new companyA family run manufacturing and construction business with approximately 100 workers are looking to recruit an experienced Health & Safety Manager for their South Yorkshire business.
Due to growth, the company have a requirement for an experienced professional who is looking for a new and exciting opportunity to progress their career. This role doesn't include any travel. All office and site based together.

Your new roleThe Health and Safety Manager is responsible for ensuring a safe working environment for all employees by implementing and maintaining health and safety standards in compliance with legal requirements and company policies. The role involves risk assessments, safety audits, training, and promoting a culture of safety within the manufacturing facility. You will be required to implement and strengthen H&S procedures.You will conduct Risk Assessments, identify potential hazards and implement measures to mitigate risks, safety Audits and Inspections, perform regular safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. You will also carry out incident investigations to determine causes and recommend preventive measures. You will carry out training and education, develop and deliver health and safety training programs for employees and assist in the development and implementation of health and safety policies and procedures, and develop and maintain emergency response plans and conduct regular drills.

Full-time hours, days, Mon-Fri.

What you'll need to succeedThe ideal candidate will have NEBOSH Certification and have proven experience in health and safety management, preferably in a manufacturing / construction environment. You will have a strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices and be a strong communicator.

Our client is a large distribution company who is experiencing real growth in the marketplace and is looking for the services of an enthusiastic Health & Safety Advisor based in the outskirts of Glasgow. You will have experience to motivate and leading the company's existing employees to ensure they understand the importance of H&S culture and be motivated to carry out safe practices.

The successful candidate will identify, coordinate and drive improvements in safety, quality, and productivity, working closely with the Operational Management teams - and will work closely under the guidance of the Head of Safety for the business. You will be educated to a minimum of NEBOSH General Certificate with a couple of years' experience OR have a few years' experience and looking to complete your NEBOSH Certification.

Key Responsibilities:

· Monitor compliance of company policy and procedures
· Investigate accidents / incidents thoroughly and report on findings
· Conduct root cause analysis and identify remedial actions
· Generating and reviewing Risk Assessment & Systems of Work
· Collate statistical information
· Take the lead in small-scale projects
· Manage contractors (approvals, authorisation & permits)
· Participate in delivery of induction materials
· Work alongside an already established supervisory team
· Basic facilities management
· Liaise with Group Health & Safety Manager as required

Candidates should possess the following qualifications and skill set:

· NEBOSH General Certificate or similar preferred
· IOSH membership preferred
· Full driving licence
· Proven track record in an advisory capacity
· Experience in Construction, O&G, Manufacturing or other high-risk environments would be a benefit - but not essential.
· Ability to work under pressure
· Good time management skills
· Good communication skills at all levels
· Good computing skills with the ability to produce quality reports

• The Health Technician (Pedorthist) takes scans and measurements for advanced devices, prepares and modifies casts for advanced devices, repairs and fabricates advanced devices and provides patient/caregiver education for advanced devices.
• The Health Technician (Pedorthist) recognizes physical abnormalities, deviations and complicating conditions with potentially life-threatening implications.
• The Health Technician (Pedorthist) privileges (Individual Scope of Practice) other credentialled clinicians to provide pedorthic care based on ABC privileging requirements.
