Human Resources Assistant (Employee Relations)

An new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Human Resources Assistant to join our Employee Relations team.

We are a friendly, supportive and nurturing team and we are looking for a like-minded person to join us. This is a great opportunity that would suit anyone with an interest in Human Resources and supporting employees, sometimes in challenging circumstances.

If you have good administrative and computer skills, along with a friendly and confident approach, we would love to hear from you.

The role will be based full-time at Epsom Gateway, with occasional travel to other sites for meetings.

For the right person, there may also be the option of some home based working to suit the needs of the role and the post holder, up to a maximum of 2 days per week.

The HR Assistant role is a key role within the employee relations team and central to our success. You will draw upon your excellent communication and interpersonal skills, to ensure our processes run smoothly, with respect for individual needs and within agreed timescales.

As the Administrative expert in our team, you will respond to first line enquiries and set up meetings and training sessions. You will ensure arrangements are in place for hearings and appeals, take notes and ensure outcome letters are sent. You will also be responsible for updating templates and ensuring confidential records are easily accessible and secure.

To be successful in this role, you will have excellent IT skills, the ability to work to tight deadlines and a calm and empathic approach. You will thrive in a busy working environment, where patient care and employee experience are a priority.

There will also be the opportunity to apply for funded training, such as level 3, 5 or 7 apprenticeships.

Fire Engineer

Location: Chichester, West Sussex

Salary: Basic £28k - £30k (DOE) + Excellent callout rates + Benefits

Full-Time, Permanent, Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:30pm

The Client:

Our client is a well-established engineering firm, providing extensive services in installing and maintaining fire alarm systems for both commercial and residential properties.

The Role:

As a Fire Extinguisher Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in installing, servicing, and preparing quotations for fire extinguisher contracts.

Responsibilities:

- Follow a structured schedule of appointments, which may include remedial works.

- Perform duties on additional fire safety systems such as fire alarms, emergency lights, and smoke alarms.

- Reporting to the Managing Director.

- Work both independently and collaboratively within a team setting.

Requirements:

Essential:

- Previously worked as a Fire Engineer or in a similar role.

- Experience in the installation and repair of fire safety systems.

- Background in maintenance or testing.

- IFEDA or equivalent qualifications.

- Completion of relevant manufacturer training courses.

- Possess computer skills.

Desirable:

- At least 2 years of experience in fire extinguisher service & maintenance.

- GCSE or equivalent qualifications.

- Additional certifications from FIA Training Foundation.
