Human Resources Administrator

Permanent Position

£25,000 to £26,500

Working as part of a team

Supporting the team with all HR administration duties

Based in Cannock

Human Resources and Personnel industry experience preferred

Experience required for Human Resources Administrator

• Previous experience of working in a HR Function
• Strong organisational skills
• Knowledge of fair recruitment processes and legal requirements
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• A keen attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality service.
• Be able to build relationships

Duties of a Human Resources Administrator

• In conjunction with the HR team, you will ensure line managers are effectively managing probationary periods and any temporary/ fixed-term contracts (extensions; terminations etc.) in line with legislation by issuing timely reminders, advice, and appropriate paperwork
• Ensure new starters are processed efficiently and are issued with offer letters and contracts of employment and effectively onboarded (either face to face or remotely using Teams and the HRIS)
• Obtain appropriate employment references and right to work documents and ensure new recruits have the relevant DBS/BPSS checks completed
• Work with line managers to ensure their teams are performance managed effectively.Create and maintain employee records and keep all HR trackers updated.
• Suggest ways for continuous improvement in our systems and processes.
• Assist the HR Manager in the company disciplinary processes
• Ensure the offboarding process is completed accurate
• Minute taking in formal meetings.
• Maintain accurate records regarding employee absence.

Working hours of a Human Resources Administrator

8:30am - 5.30pm - (1 hour lunch)

*There will be occasional travel involved (once every other month) - that will involve travelling away from home and supporting the HR function of another site - all expenses will be paid

Within the ‘Resources and Industrial’ team in Newcastle, we currently have an exciting role available for a Senior Project Manager.
