In this Supervisory Information Technology Specialist (Policy and Planning) position, you will become a key team member of Homeland Security professionals managing a wide range of information technology (IT) management activities. Typical work assignments include:
- Leading development of an enterprise IT modernization plan by working with other departments to establish priorities for IT investments, build business cases, and demonstrate total cost of investment.
- Directing a program or major program segment with significant resources, finding an implementing ways to eliminate or reduce significant bottlenecks and barriers to productions, promote team building, an improve business practices.
- Coordinating, directing, and overseeing work, through subordinate supervisors and/or team leaders. Make decisions on work problems presented and assure reasonable equity of performance standards and rating techniques.
