Lead the development of multiple short, medium, or long-term highly complex projects and/or programmes of work that will support the delivery of the Trusts strategy and vision and improve operational effectiveness and patient experience and outcomes. Textiles has grown in popularity over the past couple of years and now has a very strong cohort of GCSE students. Textiles has a very large, exceptionally well equipped room along with an attached storage cupboard and a cutting room/fabric storage area. A heat press, kitchen area, array of embroidery/overlocking and sewing machines and a large number of mannequins means that students can work easily on garments or textiles based artwork. Strong links have been built with other departments in school and other textiles departments locally which have enabled students to share artist workshops and educational trips this year.

For Textiles you will need to be confident using/maintaining sewing machines preferably with experience of teaching textiles to KS3/KS4. You will be able to be part of a hard-working team which supports each other to be the best practitioners they can be and ensuring excellent outcomes for all of our students.

Provide information and support, either face to face or via printed and digital OUH validated information resources for patients attending Milton Keynes University Hospital (MKUH) who are referred for radiotherapy treatment both in the OUH MK Satellite department and the Oxford Cancer Centre (OCC). Operate inter-professionally between the medical staff, radiographers, nursing staff and other allied health care professionals at Milton Keynes University Hospital and Oxford Cancer Centre, advising and referring as necessary for each patient. Foster a strong inter-departmental relationship between Oxford Cancer Centre Radiotherapy Department, our Milton Keynes satellite and MKUH, ensuring the smooth provision of radiotherapy treatment in accordance with OCC protocols. An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Information Governance and Inquiry Manager. This role is both busy and exciting, leading the innovative Information Governance team at Milton Keynes University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.



Sound knowledge of Data Protection 2018/GDPR and other relevant legislation, including Freedom of Information, Environmental Health Regulations, Computer Misuse Act, and an understanding of the new changes to the Data Security and Protection Toolkit.



The Information Governance department ensures the integrity, availability, security, and efficient use of information resources across the Trust. The team supports the management of information and records to ensure compliance with legislation, standards, and best practices.



The role is demanding and requires someone with confidence, the ability to think on their feet, and liaise at all levels. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential in this ever-changing environment.

To be an integral part of the Information Governance department at Milton Keynes University Hospital, supporting the Head of Information governance by contributing and participating on all matters relating to the IG framework to ensure the Trust complies with current and future legislation, national guidance and best practice in the areas of Information Security and Information Governance including requirements set by NHS Digital, Government and other mandating agencies.



Main duties:



To add value and contribute to the delivery of the Trust’s objectives by working with all staff groups providing professional IG advice on data protection and Information Security.



To manage designated Data Security and Protection Toolkit requirements within timescales with all supporting evidence available for audit review in a well-structured and organised manner whilst monitoring continuing progress against the standards.



To support the IG incident process from triage of the original report through to reporting, if required, to the Information Commissioner’s Office and Department of Health consistent with NHS Digital guidance.
