As a Public Health Analyst (Policy) you will:
- Provide, leadership, expert technical advice, and coordination consistent with internal and external organizational policies, guidelines, standards, and procedures to enhance and ensure compliance with the Federal Advisory Committee Act, Government in Sunshine Act, Freedom of Information Act, the Privacy Act, the Public Health Service Act, and Department of Health and Human Services policies and procedures.
- Maintain responsibility for all communication activity related to the Advisory Committee to the Director to include federal register notices, external website and internal notices and Committee and workgroup communication, as needed.
- Manage a portfolio of programs and projects to identify, review, and analyze complex and highly visible actions such as executive directives, Departmental policy issuances, voluntary changes in practice, as well as other problems, issues, or program requirements that have the potential to impact public health as well as the activities of the division, center, and/or office.
- Propose public health program changes necessary to respond to changes in policy.
- Determine what information is required to respond and develop a strategy for responding to policy actions or other complex issues.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with other organizational units within CDC including other national centers, institute, and offices, CDC Washington and others, other Federal agencies.
- Identify strategic programmatic and public health areas in need of strengthening as well as new areas for program development.
