he post holder will be responsible for the delivery of a professional, courteous, responsive, and highly visible Security presence. This will include high visibility and high-profile foot patrols, emergency response to all security issues and incidents within the NHS premises, car parks and confines of the site (as defined within the contract specifications). Security Officers are responsible for the provision of a safe and secure environment for all staff, patients, and visitors along with the protection of NHS property and assets and are to always behave in a professional manner.
All Security duties are delivered to and compliant with BS 10800, BS 7499, and where applicable BS 7984 (Key Holding). Body Worn Video (BWV) operation is delivered to and compliant with BS 8593. All CCTV operations are delivered to and compliant with BS 7958 and Officers are Vetted to BS 7858.

Main Accountabilities

Deliver all duties in accordance with the published Assignment Instructions, all relevant British Standards (BS) and the SIA and Serco Health BU Security Codes of Conduct and Behaviour.

- Maintain a current SIA licence(s) as required and undertake all necessary First Aid and top up training prior to renewal and licence expiry.
- Act as the first line emergency response to any given security situation.
- Respond to all staff and department panic / emergency alarms.
- Provision of a responsive security service that recognises equality and dignity of all staff patients and visitors.
- All Officers are trained in Conflict Resolution (CRT) and verbal de-escalation techniques and are to utilise these skills to defuse incidents and situations where possible.
- Provide an emergency response to all violent, aggressive, and abusive individuals within the Hospital and where possible defuse and deescalate the situation.
- Where required, you are to utilise Physical Intervention (PI) and the least restrictive practice (as trained) as a last resort to safely control the situation and maintain a safe environment. Where the individual is not a patient and Medical / Clinical colleagues confirm this, Officers are required to remove the individual from the location and escort them off site.
- Proactively monitor all CCTV systems in accordance with your AIs and BS 7958 to identify anti-social behaviour and instances of crime and direct and escalate the response accordingly.
- Maintain and monitor all Control Room functions and systems as necessary, reporting, and escalating alarms and actions as necessary and appropriate.
- Effectively control and monitor the access to the premises and where necessary examine documentation and identification to ascertain the authenticity and authority to gain access to certain areas. Officers are to actively challenge anyone tailgating whilst always remaining polite and courteous.
- When required to assist and escort visitors and Trust colleagues to their destinations within the boundary of the NHS site.
- Where applicable, Officers are required to provide patient escort.
- Respond to reports of missing patients and conduct all necessary searches (CCTV and in person) to locate the patient.
- Submit detailed reports on discovery of issues relating to Security, crime and health and safety to their supervisor as required.
- Maintain all relevant logs and indices as required and any other records that may be required by the Security Management team of both Serco and the NHS.
- To maintain the prescribed process in respect of the issue and return of keys.
- Cash handling / cash collection from Car Parking machines.
- First line support for Car Park intercoms, pay stations and barriers – resolving queries, managing, and replacing receipt rolls, clearing jammed coins and maintaining a customer focussed service.
- Providing car parking enforcement services where required
- To identify suspicious persons and actions and report such circumstances.
- At all times promote Serco in a positive and proactive light.
- At all times act as an ambassador for best practise and the Security Department as a whole.
- Engage in all training provision as and when required.
- Be responsible for compliance with approved operating procedures as contained in the site Assignment Instructions.
- Undertake ad hoc duties as and when required by the management team.
- Develop and maintain a professional and proactive relationship with all levels of client’s representatives and stakeholders with whom they engage operationally rendering themselves as the first point of contact in respect of any operational issue on the ground.
- Ensure that all equipment, uniform, and appointments issued to them is maintained and well looked after.

Job Purpose: To Undertake the PGDip Specialist Community Public Health Nurse training (SCPHN health visiting) to develop the knowledge and skills required to function safely and effectively as a SCPHN (Health Visitor) and lead practice within the public health agenda through support, education and guidance of the Higher Education Institute and Practice Supervisor, Practice Assessor/Practice Lead. Main Duties and Responsibilities To attend all educational sessions as directed by the University, submitting assignments promptly as required, to achieve all objectives to the standard required. To develop new skills and knowledge showing integration of theory and practice. To maintain a close liaison with the Practice Assessor throughout the course and to agree a clinical learning programme which will facilitate and support theoretical learning and reflect the value of practice centred education. Personal responsibility to identify and highlight any areas of concerns regarding progress and development (clinically, academically, and personally) before these become problematic. To increasingly understand the wider determinant of health and seek to address health inequalities across diverse communities and populations. Assess, plan, implement and evaluate individual/family focused programs of care (universal, targeted and specialist pathways), under the direction of the practice supervisor and assessor and work in partnership with other agencies e.g. support services for families, social care, early years provision/schools etc. Maintain professional record keeping standards ensuring records are accurate and contemporaneous in line with Trust policy and NMC standards. To develop an awareness and involvement in the delivery of the Healthy Child Programme with support and guidance from the Practice Supervisor and Practice Assessor whilst utilising the skills and knowledge of the wider health visiting / school nursing team. Developing into an autonomous practitioner throughout the course, taking responsibility for the care given to children / young people / families within own limits of competency and confidence. To be aware of and demonstrate increasing skills and knowledge in assessment and decision making in relation to safeguarding concerns associated to adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) Ensure concerns are responded to appropriately in line with local safeguarding policy and interagency safeguarding procedures and access appropriate training and supervision Communication Establish and maintain relationships and partnerships with families and other professionals in a multi-agency and integrated working environment. Report absence and sickness appropriately and promptly to the University and following your local service processes. Arrange and attend regular clinical supervision with Practice Assessor. People Management Maintaining own professional development and engage in all academic and practice based assessments. Adhere to the NMC Code, standards of proficiency, and Trust values. Clinical and Practice Governance Observe and maintain strict confidentiality with regards to any patient/family/staff/records and information in line with the requirements of the Data Protection Act. Any data that is taken/shared as part of a phone call or transported, faxed or transferred electronically must be undertaken with regard to the Trust Information Governance and Information Security policies. The post holder must adhere to the Trust risk assessment and risk management processes. The post holder must adhere to infection control policies and procedures. It is a condition of your employment that you are currently registered with the NMC and it is your responsibility to maintain your professional registration. Participate in clinical and safeguarding audits as required. Participate in the supervision on a regular basis with the Practice Assessor. The post holder is required to participate in relevant emergency preparedness process for their team. To work as part of a multidisciplinary team to identify the health needs of children and young people, their families and the community and contribute to developing a strategy to address individual identified needs as well as those needs within the community. To be confident to use telephone triage skills and knowledge to assess, plan, implement and evaluate packages of care. To be competent as a non-medical prescriber. To provide home visits and child health drop-ins to assess the needs of children and their families, during a rotation period into locality 0-19 teams. To support children and young people and their families with emotional and behavioural development. To advise their client group on the promotion of health and the prevention of illness. To link practice with local and national targets and deliver public health programmes based on current priorities and targets. To plan evidence based health promotion programmes, order resources, compile teaching plans with aims, objectives and outcomes, and evaluate the sessions. To act as a health link for other agencies, e.g. Early Childhood and Families Service, GPs, voluntary services, public and private agencies and work closely with partner agencies to promote the health and wellbeing of children, young people and families. To work with the locality teams to support children, young people and families who are considered to be vulnerable or at risk. To adhere to current Safeguarding Procedures, and participate in child protection case conferences and case review meetings as required. To contribute to the development of local policies and procedures relevant to their area of work. To take responsibility for their own clinical practice including clinical supervision and contemporaneous record keeping, adhering to the NMC code of conduct. To participate in meetings and attend relevant training courses to demonstrate ongoing professional development. To engage in Service Design developments. To support the digital delivery of the Healthy Child Programme and promote this with Service Users and professional agencies. Within this role you will need to travel as an independent practitioner on a daily basis, across Norfolk which involves both rural and urban travel. The nature of our work does result in travel arrangements changing at short notice. Due to the large geography our service covers and the limitations of sufficient public transport to undertake this role you must hold a full and current driving licence and have access to your own transport to meet the travel requirements of the role. To work with vulnerable families consisting of children and young people 0-19 years of age to be the one key clinical HCP contact for consistent family support. To work as part of a multidisciplinary 0-19 HCP team to identify the health needs of children and young people, their families and the community and contribute to developing a strategy to address individual identified needs as well as those needs within the community. To work with targeted community populations and to delegate work to the skill mix team as appropriate To use knowledge and skills to assess, plan, implement and evaluate packages of care To provide in person and video contacts to assess the needs of children and young people (0-19) and their families. These contacts will also be provided and supported by the use of a range of different digital technologies. To promote the use of digital resources on Just One Norfolk to enhance self-care skills for children, young people, and their families To confidently utilise virtual platforms in assessments, interventions, training, and networking to support effective practice and partnership working To contribute to the ongoing development of digital methods to support our service delivery. To offer clinical supervision to the HCP skill mix who support children and young people and their families. To provide caseload supervision to the HCP skill mix who will be delivering agreed interventions. To plan, deliver and evaluate evidence based health promotion community support with the wider 0-19 locality team. To advise their client group on the promotion and protection of health To link practice with local and national targets and deliver public health programmes based on current priorities and targets. To act as a health link for other agencies, e.g. Early Childhood and Family Centres, GPs, schools and early years settings, voluntary services, public and private agencies and work closely with partner agencies to promote the health and wellbeing of children, young people and families To support children, young people and families who are considered to be vulnerable or at risk. To adhere to current Safeguarding Procedures, and participate in any safeguarding meetings as required.
