ICTS are looking for reliable and technology savvy Security Officers to ensure the security and safety of premises and people amongst the sites of our new Data Centre client in the Slough and Uxbridge area.

You'll be required to work a 4 on / 4 off shift pattern working 12-hour shifts, encompassing both days and nights.

An experienced Security Officer, you will carry out a range of duties in a modern and fast paced environment, including:

- Managing access control for buildings and car-parks - for employees, visitors, and contractors.

- Patrolling the buildings, car parks, and grounds to deter and detect problems.

- Checking and challenging ID passes with a professional and friendly approach.

- De-activating and activating alarms, and unlocking and locking buildings, rooms, external barriers and gates to ensure that no unauthorised personnel or hazards are on site.

- Fire, security and building systems monitoring, including CCTV.

- Identifying and reporting Health & Safety issues and carrying out first aid if necessary.

- Responding to customer requests and queries

- Maintaining records including incident reports using computer- and paper-based systems

An SIA Door Supervision (DS) or Security Guarding (SG) license is essential, and to succeed in this role you will also need:

- Excellent communication, organisation and interpersonal skills

- The ability to remain calm and professional under pressure

- Experience in a customer-facing role, ideally in security

- Five years' checkable history and references

- To pass a criminal records check (CRC) to the required standards

The following would also be useful, but are not essential:

- SIA Public Space Surveillance (PSS) (CCTV) licence

- First Aid qualification

- Experience in a similar role

PURPOSE OF JOB:
• The preservation of good order on Trust property, including:

He/she will also be required when requested to undertake preliminary investigations and the recording of any losses or breeches of Security liaison with the Security Manager. Patrolling of all areas of the site will be
necessary, including both the front and rear car parking areas for the purpose of both security and traffic management.

Job Objectives & Responsibilities

- Providing Maritime Security under International Ship and Port Facility Security (I.S.P.S)

-Conduct various searches of vehicles entering the Restricted Area under I.S.P.S

-Provide a customer friendly, reassuring, professional security presence.

-Communicate with the Port Police reporting any suspicious activity, packages or any discrepancies with either ID or searches.

-Monitor and control access to Restricted Area via Access Control Points

-Checking and controlling the egress of HGV's leaving the Port

Main Duties

-Ensure access control to the Port with the use vehicle access barriers at Access Points.

-Ensure access control to the Port with the monitoring at gatehouses of safe walkways for pedestrian access.

-Verifying driver documentation and identification.

-Verifying vehicle identification documentation.

-Ensuring compliance with DfT regulations regarding vehicles searches (internal / external).

-Ensuring compliance with DfT regulations regarding personal searches.

-Gate 1 & 2 controlling egress of containers / trailers and ensuring accuracy of ANPR.

-To provide a visual deterrent.

-To liaise with Port and statutory authorities (police and Border Force) as required.

To be considered for this role you will:

SIA Security Guarding licence, or Door Supervisor licence is essential.

My client provides reactive security services such as alarm response, building unlocks/locks and security patrols to homes and businesses in Surrey and surrounding areas. I am currently partnering with them to recruit a Security Operations Assistant. This is an exciting new role which is designed for career progression within the company. The successful candidate will be a dedicated, passionate, capable and competent security supervisor/security team leader who meets the requirements of the candidate profile. The successful candidate will commence by training on all security patrol officer roles within the Company. Once trained the candidate will be primarily based in the management office Monday to Friday 0900 to 1800 and included within the on-call duty roster.
