We have a great opportunity for a Maintenance Technician - Electrical. This will be to join our team based in Blackburn - Park Lee - Loan Store. The starting salary for this role is from £36,000 (depending on experience) plus on call allowance. This is a Mobile role. This is a full time position working 37.5 hours per week 8am-4.30pm Monday-Friday. Requirements for the role: Qualifications - At least one of the below: BTEC City & Guilds plus relevant experience and Training. Hold level 3 NVQ or equivalent in Electrical Install or Electrical Maintenance. Formal apprenticeship or craft trained and registered Approved Electrician. City & Guilds (18th edition) Or *Current qualification to the latest standard of BS 7671 City & Guilds Additional Requirements: Driving licence is essential Must be comfortable using technological devices to log jobs. On-Call availability Desirable to have industry experience Ability to work alone and/or as part of a wider team as this role will require you to work cohesively with other Technical Disciplines. Please note, DBS Checks & DVLA checks will be required for this role. Key Responsibilities: Ensure compliance in accordance with all NHSPS Health, Safety & Wellbeing Policies, relevant NHSPS Technical Guidance, Process and Procedures, Statutory Regulations, Approved Codes of Practice and any applicable aspects of HTMs. Ensure that new or revised practice and policies are implemented within own work areas. Deliver Scheduled, Reactive and Remedial maintenance services as directed by the PPM planner (CAFM), helpdesk or Technical Services Supervisor, ensuring that operational standards are always maintained. Fault finding, minors repairs or installations and maintaining services and equipment within critical environments. Ability to assess problems to determine the best course of action, this would include complex technical issues and be able to communicate technical and or complex information to various stakeholders. Facilities Maintenance Technician (known internally as Building Services Technician)

Permanent contract, Monday – Friday
The primary role of a Facilities Technician is to optimize property conditions, service & standards whilst keeping a safe working environment for all on site. The Facilities Technician will maintain a high level of quality, providing maximum satisfaction to all stakeholders, providing 1st fix response to fault finding with basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry & decorating skills.
Key responsibilities:

- Carry out repairs and reactive maintenance
- Responsible for monitoring and recording Data on Facilities equipment, including Boilers, Air Compressors and Cooling Equipment.
- Assist in Site Compliance, including Contractor Control, PTW, Insurance Inspections, Legionella.
- Carry out repairs to the fabric of a building, for example repairs to walls, doors, door frames, skirting boards or plaster damage to internal walls
- Understand and maintain plumbing and drainage systems, for example repairs to WC systems, leaking taps or water testing and unblocking drains
- Maintain high levels of water hygiene within a building
- Basic electrical competencies, for example replacing damaged sockets, plugs, lighting and fuses.
- Demonstrate and implement energy, environment and sustainable practices
- Maintain grounds and external fabrication of a building, such as drainage and guttering
- The safe use of hand tools, for example screwdrivers, power drills, pliers, paper strippers and a variety other tools used in plumbing and carpentry
- Demonstrate and understand the importance of the control of resources and stock
- Understand and demonstrate the principles of Planned Preventative Maintenance
- Prepare for refurbishment or deep clean of equipment and surfaces
- Support and prepare any office moves or individual requirements
- Support the quality team in completing any low level pest proofing requirements


Skills and Experience required to be a Facilities Technician at Muller:

- NVQ in Plumbing – ideal
- General building competencies such as Electrical, carpentry, painting & decorating
