School Maintenance Assistant, job vacancy covering 3 Schools in Surrey. This includes schools in Horley, Crawley & Purley. Car Driver Essential.
Benefits
£25’600 - £28’700 per annum, DOE.
40 Hours per week, Monday – Friday.
Hours will include 3pm – 8pm plus additional 3 hours per day.
Full Time, Permanent vacancy.

Criteria
Car Driver Essential.
Understanding of Fire, Health & Safety, Legionella, asbestos, security, COSHH & safeguarding.
General Maintenance & Grounds knowledge and experience essential.
Qualification in Electric or plumbing desirable or experience within construction trade.
Previous experience of working in a School / Education setting advantageous.
Good IT Skills / Computer literate.
Applicants will be subject to a Pre-Employment check including Enhanced DBS check.
Duties
To maintain the school including maintenance & Groundwork including general repairs, painting & Decorating, maintaining the grounds (Cutting grass, general gardening, repair works).
Routine Maintenance work, planned inspections and report any findings.
Organise the collection and movement of furniture and any equipment.
Ensure Fire and safety equipment are functional and safety awareness is promoted.
Ensure Health & Safety is met and relevant to the premises.
Keeping all external areas clean and tidy, ensure the buildings and site are secure.
Maintaining equipment and reporting any faults.
To assist with any events at the school.
