We’re looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our existing team in our Runcorn Distribution Centre.

Your key responsibilities will include maintaining high volume picking machinery via planned maintenance schedules, maintain up to date records of all maintenance work and support and manage the activities of any outside contractors whilst on site.

The successful candidate will understand the principles of Good Distribution Practice (GDP) guidelines for Pharmaceutical Distributors and carry out the duties in such a way that they demonstrate compliance. You will have the ability to safely work at height. Although you will not have direct reports, you will mentor and coach junior members of the technical team.

About the opportunity:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Qualified Maintenance Technician (QT) to join our team in our Runcorn Distribution Centre as a Senior Maintenance Technician. This role involves responsibility for Planned Preventative Maintenance, system breakdowns, defect repair and general upkeep of the depot facilities and automation ensuring that system cleanliness and condition is kept to a high standard.

To assist and manage on site projects, technical repairs and technicians workloads ensuring correct. Ensuring all Maintenance of high volume picking machinery and other ancillary equipment is up to date and operational at all times. • Trains and updates workforce on emergency situations and coordination with US Capitol Police (USCP), Security, Emergency Preparedness Directorate (SEPD), Library of Congress (LOC), and AOC’s Office of Safety and Code Compliance (SCC) on response efforts.
• Responsible for coordinating and communicating with Library of Congress staff on steam, domestic water, chilled water, and related electrical outage associated with maintenance and projects and provide formal notifications.
• Makes recommendations to LBG Senior Leadership Team related to operations and maintenance activities and personnel. Serves as liaison between service units and engineering staff for maintenance, facility condition assessment review, and programs affecting maintenance.

Reporting to the Electrical Maintenance Supervisor you will support the site maintenance effort carrying out typical maintenance activities including:
