4on 2off Shift - Earlies & Lates (9hr Shifts)

Our client is an industrial processing business, part of a larger group, with multiple sites in the UK, they are looking for a driven production shift manager.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Manage, develop and steer the site production team
• Managing a team of 3 team leaders and around 50 production / operational staff
• Make sure the team complies with all company standards - health & safety, hygiene, uniform, PPE
• Planning shifts to meet budgets, handover meetings, workload allocation, managing absences
• Make sure training has been completed for staff and regular performance reviews are conducted
• Look at areas of improvement, suggest lean manufacturing techniques
• Maximise the service, cost and quality of the shift to meet KPi's and customer service levels

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

• Experience of working in a fast-paced environment - manufacturing, production, FMCG
• Must have worked a rotating shift pattern previously
• Knowledge of change management - process & continuous improvement ideas
• At least 2 years experience in a similar management / team leader role
• Excellent communication skills across a diverse workforce
• Able to work to results driven KPi's
• Confident in carrying out staff training
• Ideally qualified in Health & Safey, hygiene, etc.
• Knowledge of the latest health & safety processes & hygiene standards

Hours of work

Week one :
06:00 - 14:14 Monday - Thursday.
06:00 - 12:00 Friday

Week two:
14:00 - 22:15 Monday - Thursday
11:45 - 17:45 Friday

Shifts will rotate weekly.

All applicants must be available to work both shifts.

Pay rate:

£11.96 per hour
Overtime available paid at X1.5 and Double Time

We are currently seeking a Production Planner & Coordinator to join our Supply Chain Management (SCM). This role is home-based with a salary of up to £30,000, depending on experience, and will require quarterly travel to the Bracknell site, as well as additional travel as needed.

As a Production Planner, you will play a key role in ensuring operational excellence and delivering first-class customer service for our global client base. Reporting to the SCM Team Leader, your responsibilities will cover pre- and post-sales customer service, inventory management, and providing support to both SCM and Sales colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyse customer requirements to provide high levels of customer service.
• Efficiently manage sales orders in the ERP system, confirm orders, and coordinate shipments.
• Support inbound/outbound logistics to meet customer requirements and On-Time Delivery (OTD) targets.
• Create accurate inventory forecasts and demand plans for assigned accounts and suppliers.
• Generate and distribute purchase orders to suppliers in a timely manner.
• Manage inventory levels within financial and physical constraints.
• Resolve customer complaints swiftly to ensure continued satisfaction.
• Maintain timely distribution of supplier inbound shipping data.
• Minimise slow or dead stock while adhering to inventory guidelines and customer contract terms.
• Continuously review and improve customer-specific processes.

Qualifications and Skills:

• At least 3 years of experience in customer service and demand forecast planning.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Team player with the ability to work independently when necessary.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and the ability to multitask across software applications.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing market and team requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially when interacting with multinational teams and senior stakeholders.
• Advanced Excel skills are an advantage.

Overview

Responsibilities
Manage a production team in the building of electrical/electronic equipment and PCB assemblies.
Plan, organise and coordinate resources to meet the production requirements.
Investigate and analyse all production related issues and to ensure ongoing continuous improvement.
Lead, manage, and develop employees.
Liaise and work with other departments to ensure any issues are resolved.
Create SOPs and check production documents are accurate and complete.
Generate KPIs, making recommendations on trends, improvements, and corrective actions to achieve and enhance operational excellence.
Ensure compliance with quality standards and requirements, analysing results and ensuring corrective action is implemented to continuously improve the working environment.
Ensure compliance with Health and Safety policies and procedures.

Requirements
Previous experience working on an electronics or electrical production environment.
Knowledge of implementing continuous improvement programmes.
Educated to degree level or equivalent and a proven track record within the electrical/electronic production industry.

We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client who is well known global company based in Maidenhead and we are looking for experienced Production Operators.

Duties will include:
* Able to follow and understand SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) clearly as well as the ability to carry out Basic Training to Team Members
* Skills base to complete Quality Checks in accordance to the SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures)
* Maintain the area of work to a high standard of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice)
* Ability to carry out basic maintenance tasks within the area and show the ability to carry out basic fault finding tasks on a Production Line
* Ability to assist in carrying out Basic Machine Changeovers on Production Lines
* Able to complete assignments in a timely manner
* To ensure that GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice), Quality, Health and Safety are considered in all aspects of the role and escalated through the right channels where necessary

PAY RATE - £14.64

Within this role you can progress to a Level 2 (Team Leader). Your rate of pay will depends on the levels.

SHIFT PATTERNS:
24/5 (3 shifts patterns):

1 week on Earlies shifts: From Monday to Thursday 6am - 2pm & Friday 6am - 1pm. 40.25hrs (including 15mins. handovers)

1 week on Lates shifts: From Monday to Thursday 2pm - 10pm & Friday 1pm - 8pm. 40.25hrs (including 15mins. handovers)

1 week on Nights shifts: From Monday to Thursday 10pm - 6am.
36.5hrs (Including 15mins. handovers plus extra hours for breaks)
