Working on a rotational days and nightshift.
4 on 4 off 12hrs per shift

Duties will include:
Operation of the Converting machinery (waxer, slitter, laminator).
Manual handling and maneuvering of reels; use of lifting and handling equipment; loading parent reels on to the unwind unit and unloading finished goods from the rewind section.
Monitoring work in progress reels throughout production for flagged material/removing affected material and re-splicing in accordance with customers’ requirements.
Frequent and thorough monitoring throughout production/ensuring all required checks are carried out (glue weights, wax weights, slitting tolerances) to ensure that all work produced is of highest possible standard.

Job Purpose:

You will play a crucial role in the manufacturing process of EV batteries in a brand new manufacturing giga-plant based in Sunderland.

Working as part of the Production Team you will be responsible for the efficient and safe operation of manufacturing equipment and processes to produce high quality products.

This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of a team and be involved in all areas of the battery manufacturing process for the UK’s largest lithium-ion battery producer.


Responsibilities:

Operate and monitor complex machinery and production equipment

Perform complex assembly work in various areas of the production process

Conduct quality checks throughout the production process

Responsible for TPM (total product maintenance)

Perform first line maintenance

Suggest and participate in continuous process improvement

Follow verbal and written instructions for specialised equipment

Maintain company and personal targets

Follow health & safety guidelines and procedures

Undertake any other duties as reasonably requested by the company
