The borough of Rochdale is changing fast and we need an experienced communicator to join our communications service.
We need a great all-rounder who can help share our news, update our local population about our services and use their creativity to create great content.
You will be an important part of a creative team that delivers high-quality multi-channel campaigns to wide audiences, so you will need to be highly skilled and enthusiastic about quality communications.

About you
The right candidate must have a ‘can do’ attitude and also:
- Excellent written skills
- Relevant qualifications and experience
- Experience of developing multi-channel campaigns
- Experience of working with the media and journalists
- Experience of working with agencies and external partners
- Account management skills
- Knowledge of local government
- Crisis communications skills
The job holder will need to be flexible as with most local government communications roles some work outside normal office hours may be required.
