About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Digital Communications Officer to join our team in either Oldham, London or Bristol on a full-time, permanent basis. Hybrid working opportunities are available.
The successful candidate will help make sure that our external digital communication channels have maximum impact, provide relevant engaging content, and reach our key audiences. You'll be responsible for creating digital and video content across our social media channels and website and supporting the business in external communications planning.
You will also provide support across the communications team, where required, supporting on corporate events, generating press and internal copy, and leading on communications campaigns to support the business.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Monitor and deliver day to day website activity, driving up digital engagements and optimising our presence on search engines.
- Monitor and manage the corporate social media accounts on a day-to-day basis. Building up a strong following through engaging content and campaigns. Ensuring we are always managing our reputation effectively.
- Project manage and deliver digital communications activities against an annual schedule, ensuring they are fit for purpose and value for money.
- Develop and review our website and social media channels and make recommendations for continuous improvement and new opportunities.
- Ensure digital communications is integrated into wider communications activities.
- Ensure everything produced is consistent with TGP brand and visual identity.
- Provide training and advice regarding digital communications.
- Establish and manage effective working relationships with a range of internal and external contacts and suppliers to ensure that all communications activities meet our standards, are value for money and are accurate.
Essential Skills:
- Excellent oral and written communications.
- Proven experience of working within a communications environment delivering on agreed objectives and operational priorities.
- Proven experience of managing digital communications channels i.e. social media channels and using content management systems
- Proven customer service experience.
- Ability to produce concise and informative material.
- Ability to work on own initiative and to be proactive.
- Good persuading and influencing skills.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Desirable Skills:
- Proven experience of delivering digital campaigns
- Ability to manage varied and complex workstreams.
- Good project management skills.
- Previous experience of working within an integrated Communications team.
