We have high-priority, high-profile requirements for External Communications Specialists who will play a critical role at the forefront of ensuring all aspects of external communications are delivered to a high standard during and after incidents. It is also a key role in promoting the coordination of aftercare services and follow up communications post incidents.

You will work and collaborate with a range of teams across our Water, Waste & Bio, Renewal & Logistics, and Operations Service & Control Centre functions to ensure customers are communicated with during and after any disruption.

What you’ll be doing as an External Communications Specialist:

Identification of real-time external communication needs - Understand and assess the external communication requirements arising from emerging and real-time issues.

Customer Communication Delivery - Write and deliver consistent external customer communications content to a high standard.

Non-Household Communications - Ensure NAV and NHH locations are engaged and kept informed during real-time issues.

Information management - Maintain a storyboard for all incidents and ensure accessible repository is held and maintained.

Incident Leadership - Lead and coordinate stakeholder, and press office resource, acting as Public Information Office Control Tower during daytime working hours. (0600-2200)

Aftercare - Lead and coordinate Aftercare Cell, ensuring customer resolution of issues post incident.

Continuous Improvement - Develop improvements to real-time external communications processes.

Professional Standards & Development - Closely integrate as part of pan-TW professional communications community, actively working to ensure real-time external communications are aligned to required standards, and driving continuous personal development.

Base Location: Kemble Court, Reading.

Working Pattern: Full Time/36 Hours on a 16 week rotating shift pattern (early/late)
Monday – Sunday (06:00 – 14:45 / 13:15 – 22:00)

This exciting role will be part of the Thames Water Strategic Resource Option (SRO) team, who are responsible for the development of several infrastructure projects designed to improve drought resilience and minimise interruptions to water supplies in the South East of England, with a key focus on protecting the environment.

What you’ll be doing as a Senior PR and Campaigns Manager

- We’re looking for a skilled communicator, with a creative flair, to develop and execute a programme of PR campaigns to raise awareness of the projects we are developing.
- You will have an eye for a good story and know how to position our latest news and developments to customers and target audiences.
- Working alongside the External Affairs Lead, you will develop and deliver a programme of cross-channel external communications activity to raise the profile and reputation of Thames Water’s SRO team.
- Work closely with colleagues in the press office, responding to reactive media enquiries about the programme of work, and pitching stories to national, regional and trade media to generate positive coverage.
- Working with our technical partners and specialist teams, you will also identify opportunities for media and stakeholder site visits and play a lead role in their co-ordination.
- Support the SRO team’s messaging manager and digital engagement officer to ensure our brand identity is consistently translated across all communications and campaigns products.
- Liaise with design teams and PR agencies to ensure our communications collateral is compelling, impactful and follows Plain English Campaign guidelines.
- Create a plan that ensures we never miss an opportunity to promote our project milestones, successes and achievements to our partners, regulators, key stakeholders and customers.

- Educated to degree level in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations or a related field.

In this varied and fast-paced role, you will be responsible for developing relationships with key media outlets and influencers to raise awareness of cystic fibrosis, the issues faced by people with the condition and Cystic Fibrosis Trust across the UK. You will also support the delivery of the Trust’s internal communications activity and support the Events and Celebrity Liaison Manager in managing the Trust's external events programme and cultivating and retaining key celebrity supporters and influencers.

As a member of the Communications Team, you will help develop external and internal communications on our research portfolio, policy and campaigning work and fundraising initiatives. You will also proactively monitor and look for opportunities for timely responses to the news agenda on social media.

With a fantastic nose for a story, you will have outstanding writing skills and be able to turn complex issues into compelling stories to pitch to journalists and to share with staff. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Claims' Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Compliance, Legal, Copy, User Testing and customer service representatives, to gather information (customer pain points, complaints, web site search terms, identified improvements) and document communication requirements needed
• Work with the relevant Claims Process lead to review an As-Is and To-Be process map and uncover the answers to the following questions: why, what, how, when and to whom the communications are/should be generated (to), to create a great Hastings Direct customer experience as well as good customer outcomes
• Identify opportunities for communication improvements and develop strategies to streamline transactional communication workflows
• Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to transactional communications and implement them within the organisation.

The impact you'll make

As Media Measurement Product Manager on our Marketing Science team, you will be supporting the retail media business by creating scalable solutions that drive best-in-class retail media outcomes and effectively serve marketers' business objectives. More specifically, you will requirement gather, design, build and empower marketers with fundamental measurement tools that provide actionable insights to make informed decisions and navigate the complex realm of retail media.

What you'll do

• Develop a deep understanding of our retail media business, ad products, clients, business objectives and technology.
• Help shape our measurement roadmap, taking into consideration industry trends, scientific soundness, business and technical practicalities and the clients’ jobs to be done.
• Design and promote exceptional measurement methodologies, including random control trials, geographic lift, multi-cell experiments, causal impact, synthetic controls, predictive analytics and media mix optimization
• Lead projects, from prototyping, evaluation, scoping, execution and launch
• Ownership of the backlog, including story creation, prioritization, and execution of all product management deliverables to support it.
• Use data to inform your decisions. Run A/B tests to validate hypotheses and define critical metrics to measure success. You will track and share results with the team, to help everyone gain a deeper understanding.
• Frequent collaboration with external clients to understand their needs and internal partners across technology, product design, client services, product marketing and operations to implement solutions.

Does this sound like you?

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, math, or an equivalent.

• Understanding of experimental design, advanced measurement methodologies, media mix modelling, raw log-level analysis.

The Media Relations Specialist SME (part-time) provides media relations and support services to CDC’s Division of Population Health (DPH), serving as public affairs contact, coordinating media responses, messaging, planning and clearances through DPH and selected internal partners. Tracks and reports media events and interactions, including maintaining records of all media interactions (press topics and reporters), tracking and analyzing press/media coverage using approved services (e.g. Arbitron, or Nielsen data, Cision, etc.).

Compiles routine media reports that will be sent to Division staff through the communication lead.

Provide a quarterly summary report of all media support activities as applicable to core requirements, including milestones reached and status of pending activities (including significant risks or concerns).

DSST Public Schools (DSST) seeks a group of Communications Student Cohort Members to lead a communications campaign focused on sharing the message that charter schools are free, public and open to all.

KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

DSST Public Schools seeks a cohort of students with a creative spirit and can-do attitude that are excited to tell the DSST story. This cohort will lead DSST’s creative content creation for a specialized campaign. They will be trained on and then create a variety of content based on their interests, including  graphic design, photography, videography and social media campaigns. This is a paid position. Students will be paid for their time in professional development, as well as for each piece of content they create.

 

Cohort Development Attendance

• Cohort members will be required to attend three professional development sessions and one final convening to share their work and report on campaign success.

• Create relevant content that tells the DSST story with the lens of the messaging that charters are free, public and open to all

• Produce original content including blog posts, photos and videos that tell the DSST and charter story

• Edit photo and video to create brand-aligned assets

THE JOB:

We are seeking a Charity Fundraising Executive to Join our Charity Team in Stoke on Trent.

We are looking for an ambitious self-starter with excellent communication & organisational skills and some previous project/event management experience.

You will build local relationships with businesses & community groups as well as organise and deliver fundraising events throughout the year. Project managing our annual Mission Christmas campaign in the Staffordshire and Cheshire region is a major part of this role.

You will feel comfortable establishing relationships with all key stakeholders both internally and externally via networking (both in-person & virtually) and be an important brand ambassador for the charity in the local area.

Whilst primarily working in the Staffordshire and Cheshire region, you will also be required to work on Midlands wide projects where necessary.

Cash for Kids is the in-house charity of Bauer Media in the UK.

Working closely with our colleagues in both the radio & publishing divisions of Bauer, we fundraise all year round to enable us to award grants to help those most in need.

Cash for Kids has local fundraising teams in 22 locations across the UK, together with a small central team based in the North East. We’re a passionate, fun, close-knit team, committed to helping children & young people who need us now more than ever.


In this role you will be expected to work at Home, in the office and in the field. The office location is in Stoke on Trent.


Key Responsibilities

Building & maintaining relationships is central to everything that we do at Cash for Kids. Whether that is internally with our Bauer Media colleagues, with our Cash for Kids team across the country or externally with local businesses, community groups, individual fundraisers or the beneficiaries whom we support.
As our Charity Fundraising Executive you’ll be building new relationships and developing existing ones across Staffordshire and Cheshire.
You’ll be responsible for;


- Assisting the Regional Charity Manager with the day to day running of the charity, performing key administrative & financial tasks (including banking procedures, recording all financial transactions, chasing outstanding donations) and assisting with the grant applications process.
- Developing & delivering fundraising campaigns & events.
- Seeking out new partnership opportunities with local businesses, schools, universities and community groups.
- Developing & building existing partnerships & maintaining strong communication with fundraisers.
- Planning and delivering our biggest campaign of the year – Mission Christmas. This will challenge your organisational, logistical & relationship skills to the maximum.
- Ensuring that Cash for Kids remains ‘front of mind’ and an integral part of the Bauer Media business locally.
- Making Cash for Kids famous in the area by seeking out media partner & influencer partnership opportunities.
- Keeping the local Cash for Kids website & social media platforms updated with news stories & engaging content.


In this role you will be responsible for your own set of KPIs and delivery on financial targets.
