As a Senior Grants and Procurement Advisor, you'll be part of a small, dynamic team that offers expert advice and support to internal stakeholders. Your role will involve supporting team strategies and forward planning, managing grant processes, contributing to reporting requirements, and potentially providing line management within the team. You will promote best practices in procurements and grants, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations and achieving value-for-money outcomes.
What you'll need to succeed
Key Responsibilities:
Actively participate in achieving team outcomes, monitoring workloads and delivering quality results.
Support Procurement and Contracts Unit initiatives include staff development, coaching, mentoring, and building commitment to shared goals.
Provide specialist authoritative advice about grants and procurements, ensuring compliance with legislative, financial, and administrative frameworks, government decision-making processes, and agency guidelines and regulations.
Update and maintain contract, procurement, and grant guidelines and procedures in line with relevant legislation and instructions.
Maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Have and maintain an extensive understanding of GrantConnect, panels, AusTender, and TechOne OneGov.
Engage in knowledge transfer and capability uplift in grants and procurement.
Support initiatives for continuous improvement.
Manage multiple small projects and deliver within a specified timeframe.
Essential Requirements:
Experience of grants in a Commonwealth government environment.
Relevant qualifications or equivalent experience.
Strong knowledge of Commonwealth grant guidelines, processes, and best practices.
Sound understanding of Commonwealth procurement principles, processes, and best practices.
Sound understanding of contract management principles and vendor performance evaluation.
