What You Will Do:
We are currently searching for a Procurement Technician. This position will support the Business Office Branch of the Office of Innovation and Information Technology with IT procurements, acquisitions packages, response to data calls, including data entry. It is preferred if the individual has knowledge of NIH systems including POTS and NBS. The individual must have great teamwork, collaboration, communication skills, and excellent customer service skills. This is a full-time opportunity located in Bethesda, MD.
Maintain invoice work logs and communication in the Shared Point Drive.
Perform quality assurance on data related to procurements.
Work with staff on creating, reviewing, formatting, editing, tracking, and maintaining associated files related to purchases (i.e., acquisition packages, contract files, etc.).
Work with different groups to project their needs and ensure that those needs are met with no disruption of project planning.
Prepare, reformat, and edit statements of work from multiple sources.
Prepare purchase requests for a variety of equipment, supplies, and services; prepare supporting documentation.
Review purchase requests submitted by end users, ensuring accuracy in completion of order requests in NIH ordering system (i.e., POTS).
Ensure that all files are complete and in order and final payment has been made before closing out.
Follow up on purchase and procurement requests; review receiving documentation and reconcile all receiving problems.
Enter all data into reporting systems in accordance with regulations and into spreadsheets for purchasing files, utilizing Microsoft Excel.
Follow-up to assure receiving is entered timely and invoices are paid promptly.
Contact vendors to clarify various questions on invoices, ACH information, and discrepancies in shipments and receiving documents.
Work with purchasing agents with the reconciliation cycle of their purchase cards.

What You Will Need:
Associate degree
At least five (5) years of experience in procurement
Experience in the field of General Business
Knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)
Supply and equipment requisitions/acquisitions
Contract lifecycle management
Tracking and reconciliation

Customer service
