The Role:
As an Inventory Manager, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You will be the first point of contact for the customer and responsible for the day-to-day management and data entry of customer orders for spares and across a complex repair process.
Day-to-day, you'll support the wider team by providing Inventory, logistics knowledge and intelligence to improve the demand and supply plans. You'll understand customer need and support Procurement with prioritising orders in the supply chain accordingly. You'll You will also:monitor spend against budget as well as manage and report on GFE holdings, ensuring we maintain a full auditable trail.
- Manage and maintain the data integrity of the Inventory systems used on the contract.
- Monitor and report on performance against internal and external Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Oversee the full end-to-end spares/repairs supply chain process, co-ordinating stakeholders as required and movement of stock between internal locations.
- Support and input into the development and continuous improvement of Inventory processes and procedures.
- Defcon and Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) management.
This role is full time, 35 hours per week and is based on site at Devonport Royal Dockyard.
Essential Experience of the Inventory Manager
- Ability to effectively build and manage relationships with stakeholders.
- Inventory Management competence/experience.
- Verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with team members across the project.
- IT systems including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Qualifications for the Inventory Manager
- MOD SCM Skills Certificate Level 1.
