Could you be our next Permit Control Officer working across DSTL Porton Down and Portsdown West?
You will l be supporting operations with guidance and solutions to ensure work activities of VIVO employees and subcontractors are completed in a safe manner. You will ensure that we are compliant with current regulations and adhere to Safety Operating Procedures held within VIVO and its parent companies.
Working alongside the Health & Safety Team and Technical and Operations Support Teams you will responsible for ensuring the service delivery solutions, providing support with any Health & Safety requirements to meet preventative planned maintenance, reactive maintenance, and Billable Works requirements ensuring records are maintained.
This role will see you carry out Accident/Incident investigations and ensure lessons learned are realized and achievable, encouraging a continuous improvement culture.
Within this role you will also carry out scheduled and unscheduled inspections of work activities across the estate, taking appropriate action where needed.
What you’ll need to do this role
Using your previous experience safety advisory roles, you will be a confident communicator to ensure our high standards are maintained.
Holding your NEBOSH General Certificate is essential, and it is desirable that you hold your NEBOSH Construction Certificate and P405 – Asbestos Management but they are not essential.
This role will require you to travel to remote sites weekly therefore it is essential that you hold a clean and valid UK driving licence.
It is desirable that you have experience of operating within an MOD environment and have familiarity with geography and establishments within area of responsibility
Due to site security restrictions you must be a British National and be able to pass SC Clearance to be considered for this role.
