We are seeking to appoint enthusiastic, motivated and committed individuals to join our Traffic and Transportation team. Playing a vitally important role in keeping our towns and villages and people moving, the main duties include traffic and transportation engineering, road safety, strategy development, funding bids and sustainable transport. You should have knowledge and experience of legislation and technical aspects in this area of work (eg TSRGD, traffic signs manual and relevant Acts).

You will play a vital role in transportation planning and contributing to policy making and strategy development. Successful candidates will also have supervisory responsibility. Experience in the development and delivery of traffic and transportation related projects, both major and minor, would be advantageous, including the procurement and financial monitoring required. You should be able to work under pressure to specific deadlines and directions, whilst working as part of a wider specialist team. Successful candidates must have a HNC in Civil Engineering, or equivalent in a relevant subject, and ideally you should be an Incorporated or Chartered Engineer or working towards this.

You must hold a current driver’s licence as you will be expected to travel throughout the Council area. We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, motivated, and committed individual to lead our Traffic and Transportation team.

Experience in traffic and transportation engineering, road safety, strategy development, funding bids and sustainable transport is essential.

We are looking for a Logistics Operative to carry out warehouse duties ensuring the effective and efficient control of product within Stores.

About the Role

• Provide a professional level of customer service.

• Ensure high standards in housekeeping at Stores and Production Site.

• Take a proactive approach to the daily stores operation, and production site logistical support

• Maintain stock flow to and from production site

• Ensure that the working environment is safe and working in H&S procedures.

• Participate in Continuous Improvement activities within the warehouse and production environment and make suggestions for improvement.

• Manage Forklift operations for Stores and Production Site

• Ensure all relevant procedures and processes are followed and adhered to in line with the Company's procedures and requirements.

• Lead, follow up and resolve Production Site logistics concerns.

• Ensure security of the warehouse and production site operational environment and maintain access control.

• Be a positive member of the team and contribute to the companies targets and objectives.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is able to understand Stores and Forklift operating requirements, having demonstrable experience in stores environment within manufacturing or defence

• Experience in handling and managing stock transition between stores to production site

• High levels of attention to detail

• Organized and able to prioritize tasks based on agreed larger goals

• Excellent communication skills must be able to be demonstrated.

• Forklift qualification desirable but not essential

• Certified in Dangerous Goods handling and Aviation security- desirable

• Computer literate with good numeric skills.

• Strong analytical and problem solving skills and able to establish logical practical solutions.

An exciting position has arisen within Central Pharmacy Stores, supporting Purchasing, Supply and Logistics. You will work within a friendly team that is motivated to implement and contribute to automation and innovation to further develop and provide safe medication distribution to our patients.

You will provide and co ordinate robust Education and Training to our team and achieving key performance indicators for the Central Pharmacy.

You will be a key communicator providing excellent customer service to our service users.
• You will assist the Principal Technician – Purchasing, Supply and Logistics- Pharmacy to manage the daily requirements of the automated stock system (Robot) and the associated processes
• You will line manage the Advanced Level Specialist Pharmacy Assistant Logistics & Distribution in all areas and assist with referrals of complex service delivery problems
• You will be responsible for coordinating training provided to the Stores & Distribution team, to colleagues, rotational staff and pharmacy trainees as required
• You will assist Principal Technician – Purchasing, Supply and Logistics- Pharmacy by actively working towards maintaining key performance targets and monitor quality of service provided
• You will assist Principal Technician – Purchasing, Supply and Logistics- Pharmacy in ensuring Good Distribution practice (GDP) training is delivered and recorded for each member of the Stores & Distribution, rotational staff and pharmacy trainees as required
