SELF-EMPLOYED VEHICLE COLLECTION AND DELIVERY DRIVER / TRADE PLATE DRIVER PART/FULL TIME
Here at BCA Logistics, we touch over a million vehicles a year, working with manufacturers, fleet operators and dealers to provide the backbone of the UK's automotive supply chain.
Due to our ever-increasing volumes, we are looking to engage additional Self-Employed Driver contractors throughout the UK who can help us deliver that service.
What do I need? - No experience is needed as a full 2-day technical service familiarisation seminar available, at a site local to you. You do not need your own vehicle and there is no initial outlay of any cost. We do however require the following (essential):
Held a full UK Manual Driver Licence for at least 2 years (registered to your current home address).
No more than 9 points on your licence (and no serious motoring offences).
Aged 21 or over (for insurance purposes).
Are punctual and reliable with a polite and professional demeanour.
Excellent customer service skills.

What will I be doing? - You will be collecting a variety of different vehicles from clients, checking they are safe for you to drive and delivering these to the required destination. On some occasions you may carry out an inspection on the vehicles.
Handling vehicles with care and professionalism.
Keeping clients informed of estimated arrival time and any possible delays.

They are looking for an enthusiastic Logistics Support Specialist to join the growing team and help improve processes and service for clients and customers.
Your new role
In this role, you will support the Planning & Logistics Manager and assist team members. Your responsibilities include reviewing, updating, and processing orders within specified timeframes, managing procurement with suppliers, maintaining stock levels, and ensuring accurate system updates. Additionally, you'll handle standing orders, progress reporting, warranty/non-conformance returns, transport arrangements, customs clearance, and physical inventory counts. Flexibility for additional duties is expected.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role you will need experience using ERP systems- Navision exposure would be advantageous. Planning and Logistics or a Supply Chain management qualification is desirable. You will need previous stock/ inventory experience as well as strong IT skills with a confident, methodical and dynamic approach to your work. A full clean driving licence is needed and a FLT licence would also be an advantage. However, it is not a necessity.
What you'll get in return
For this role you will receive a fixed-term contract (6 months) alongside a salary of £27,000 - £32,000 DOE. The working pattern is 08:15-17:15 Mon-Thurs and 08:15-15:00 on Friday. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to expand their logistics experience within a fast-paced business.

Your new role
As a Logistics Administrator, your role will be to manage the day-to-day coordination of customer journey. Your duties will include:

• Oversee the day to day coordination of all logistics administration.
• Maintain Schedules.
• Manage regular collections and ad-hoc collections from Customer sites (working closely with the stores/logistics co-ordinator).
• Expedite urgent repairs as and when notified by the customer.
• Provide professional and courteous telephone support.
• Produce and maintain documentation via Sage, and MS office 365 applications.
• Liaise with internal departments, customers, and supply chain against the planned schedule.
• Gain and progress customer invoice approval.
• Travel between Company sites and Customer sites when required.
• Attend regular production meetings, providing an overall status update of fixtures. .
• Work within the Companies Health and Safety procedures at all times.
  

What you'll need to succeed

• Provide professional and courteous telephone support.
• Excellent communication Skills - verbal and written.
• Liaising between internal staff, customers, and supply chain.
• Including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Sage and our own IMS system.
• Experience with working in an agile, fast-paced, environment and the ability to lead and adapt in a changing business environment.
• Willing to travel between Torus sites and Customer sites when required.
• Minimum HNC/ONC or equivalent with proven experience working in a similar role.
• Experience working in a manufacturing/engineering environment would be beneficial.

The role
As a Logistics Coordinator, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary where you will be responsible for the efficient and timely completion of supply chain activities.

Day to day, you'll deal with customer demands and enquiries, as well as:

• Investigate and compile discrepancy reports.
• Provide counter service support and packing items.
• Replenishing stock and completing stock taking
• Site internal deliveries and collections
• Control of fuels and lubricants
• Collate all auditable vouchers that have been generated in support the Logistic operation

This role is full time and based onsite at RAF Shawbury.

Essential experience of the Logistics Coordinator

• Previous experience in the operation of the MoD Management of the Joint Deployed Inventory (MJDI) System
• Previous experience in an office or warehouse storage environment
• Must be able to work as an individual or as part of an established team.

Qualifications for the Logistics Coordinator
