The opportunity
Due to an exciting internal move we are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Audit Manager - Cyber Security to lead, enhance and upskill our cyber security audit function. The role will be pivotal in leading the functional team in conducting cyber security audits and will include assessing and mitigating key cyber security risks, ensuring compliance with cyber security policies, procedures and frameworks, owning key stakeholder relationships and supervising and developing the team.
This role is based at our Head Office in Norwest Business Park, Bella Vista.
What you'll do
- Audit Leadership: Develop and implement the Internal Audit Cyber Security strategy; oversee the planning, execution, and reporting of cyber security audits; ensure audits align with standards and deliverables meet quality requirements.
- Reporting: Prepare and review detailed audit reports and presentations for management and executive leadership; provide recommendations and support for business objectives; prepare quarterly updates for the Audit & Finance Committee and support clearance meetings.
- Team Development: Build and lead a high-performing cyber security audit team; foster continuous improvement and collaboration; enhance auditing techniques and processes.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with senior management and executive committee members to support audit strategy; maintain strong relationships with Cyber Security Leadership and external stakeholders; influence and drive positive change.
- Operational Excellence: Monitor strategic initiatives, stay updated on industry trends, and champion digital auditing techniques to improve audit efficiency and reduce cycle times.
- People Management: Manage and develop junior auditors; optimize staff utilization; oversee recruitment and support professional growth within the team.
What you'll bring
- Minimum 10 years in cyber security audit or a related field, including 3-5 years in a senior managerial role.
- Deep knowledge of cyber security principles and frameworks (e.g., COBIT, ITIL, NIST) and experience with auditing cyber security tools and operations.
- Holds advanced qualifications in cyber security (e.g., CISM, CISSP, CISA) and has experience with Big 4 accounting firms in senior managerial positions.
- Proven leadership skills with a track record of motivating, developing, and supporting team members while fostering a strong team culture.
- Excellent analytical, written/verbal communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to tailor messages for both business and IT audiences.
- Strong project management capabilities, adept at handling multiple projects, prioritizing tasks, meeting deadlines, and running effective meetings.
- CA/CPA, CIA optional, reporting (e.g. Corps Act, ASIC Principles).
