Your new role
This is a 50/50 audit and accounts split role where you will be responsible for overseeing and preparing year-end, management accounts, VAT and tax returns for a diverse portfolio of local clients, reporting to managers alongside your work. Alongside your accounts work, you will take an active part in all areas of an audit from planning through to completion. Day-to-day duties will also include training the more junior members within the firm and developing strong client knowledge and relationships, providing insightful advice and guidance.
What you'll need to succeed
The firm is seeking a professional accounts and audit senior who possesses previous experience within practice, preparing statutory accounts, management accounts, tax and VAT returns, as well as being able to confidently lead audit engagements with some exposure to training junior team members. You will be ACA/ACCA qualified or qualified by experience. To succeed in this role, you will need strong knowledge of accountancy software whilst being eager to learn and progress professionally within the firm, which will allow you to benefit from the comprehensive support on offer.

As Audit Senior, you will be involved in the full audit cycle from planning through to presentation of reports. You will support the Audit Manager to plan and execute audits for a diverse and growing client base and you will manage the onsite audit team to deliver an efficient audit service. You will be also responsible for building and maintaining client relationships. You will be involved in the review of trainees work and the management of the wider team.


What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate for this role will have experience in the full audit cycle within a practice environment. Ideally you will currently be AAT/ATT qualified or be studying towards an accountancy qualification. Excellent organisational and time management skills will make you an excellent candidate for this role. This position will require you to be able to work as part of a team, as well as the ability to lead and manage people.

In return, you will be offered a competitive salary between £28,000 and £36,000 dependant on experience. As well a competitive firm wide benefits package including holidays, pension contributions, study support and staff parking this firm also offer flexible working hours across a 36 ¼ hour working week.
