In this role, you’re expected to:

The Senior Audit Manager is a senior-level management position responsible for owning and managing complex audits, assessments of Citi’s risk and control environment related to Country / Cluster Technology and interactions with senior stakeholders and regulators. The overall objective is to utilize in-depth subject matter expertise covering a broad range of Technology areas covering Technology Infrastructure, Applications, Information Security / Cyber, Technology Resilience and topics relating to Governance and Regulatory compliance applicable to countries and clusters across Asia, Europe and Middle East – Africa.

Responsibilities:

• lead an audit team and maintain high levels of motivation within the team.
• Continue to acquire and retain talent, with responsibility for their personal and professional development, remuneration and appraisal and manage the team to specific budgets.
• Deliver audit plans, publish reports, Internal Audit and Regulatory issue validation and business monitoring and relevant governance insights.
• Participate in major business initiatives and pro-actively advise and assist the business on change initiatives.
• Identify solutions for a variety of complex and unique control issues by contributing to management action plans bringing to the fore professional judgement, subject matter expertise and experience.
• Analyze report findings, and recommend interventions where needed, proposing creative and pragmatic solutions to risk and control issues.
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws and regulations, Policies, apply sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
• Demonstrate the subject matter expertise across a broad range of Technology areas covering Technology Infrastructure, Applications, Information Security / Cyber, Technology Resilience and topics relating to Governance and Regulatory compliance through high quality risk assessments, periodic business monitoring, delivery of audits and risk based / regulatory issue validations.
• Champion the adoption and use of Citi’s Audit Methodology in delivery of all aspects of the audit lifecycle.
• Leverage analytical skills and tools while delivering various activities as part of the audit lifecycle.

As a successful candidate, you’d ideally have the following skills and exposure:

Qualifications:

• 15+ years of experience which should also comprise of experience in managing and delivering Technology Audits in a highly regulated industry, is required
• Technology Audit experience across a mix of Technology areas covering Technology Infrastructure, Applications, Information Security / Cyber, Technology Resilience and topics relating to Governance and Regulatory compliance.
• Experience of leading Audit team through audit engagements; Experience in business, functional and people managemferent
• Related certifications (CIA, CISA, CISSP, CRISC, or similar) preferred.
• Proven ability to execute concurrently on a portfolio of high-quality deliverables within planned timelines.
• Demonstrated ability to implement continuous improvement and innovation in audit tools and techniques, Strong stakeholder management skills.
• Effective negotiating, influencing and relationship management skills.
• Ability to demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication.
• Experience in operating as an effective team member in a highly diverse global organization.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience preferably in Technology and related areas

• Industry experience must be from a recognized financial or payment institution and would ideally be within a large and high growth company that provides a variety of financial products and services.
• This candidate should have proven experience in evaluating internal controls or compliance programs.
• Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist, Certified Internal Auditor, or Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager

It’s an exciting time to join our Claims Technical and Central Services team here at AXA. We’re looking for a Claims Audit Manager to join us based at any of our Claims sites. You will deliver Claims audit oversight through the leadership of audit activity and the teams performing this, to provide stakeholders with an objective view of the effectiveness of AXA claims internal control framework / supplier external control environment. Oversight will be of both internal and external audit within Retail and Commercial Claims. What you’ll be doing:

Lead, motivate, manage and direct a team of 13 Auditors/Senior Auditors to deliver effective audit oversight that adds value to AXA Insurance Claims.
Lead the delivery of audit reviews across AXA Insurance Claims (internal) and 3rd parties and suppliers (external) in accordance with the annual review plan and to agreed targets and quality standards, including issue and action tracking processes, de-brief to senior staff on control gaps, and the production of accurate, timely and well-presented reports.
Develop and maintain systems and processes necessary for the efficient and timely delivery of audit reviews – including continuous improvement in approach.
Management of action tracking processes where issues are identified ensuring that regular updates are provided to senior management, and reported to key committees (CRC), as required. This will include pro-actively driving the closure of any outstanding issues, working with colleagues and business action owners on an ongoing basis.
Develop and maintain a good working knowledge of the risk and control environment within AXA, and how this may be impacted by future internal and external developments, recommending any changes to the audit plans and/or approach to reflect the changing risk profile.
Develop and maintain good working relationships with Claims business areas, championing an internal control culture and gaining commitment from the business to address any risk control gaps identified during audit reviews.
Contribute to the production of any management reporting in relation to the audit reviews including identifying key themes.

This role directs the timely delivery of high quality, value added assurance and audit reports for a portfolio of business activities, which meet the requirements of the Boards of Citigroup and Citibank, their affiliates, and of Citi’s respective regulators, globally.

In this role, the candidate will serve in the Market Risk Asia Pacific (APAC) audit team. This team provides a comprehensive program of audit coverage for APAC market risk management activities across all lines of business. • Assist in developing the audit universe for APAC market risk management, ensuring insightful and current risk assessment on an ongoing basis through business monitoring.
• Ensure that potential issues are raised promptly and collaboratively to IA and business management with a view to identifying the most viable, pragmatic and sustainable conclusion to mitigate the risk.
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with key senior market risk and APAC risk governance managers and staff as well as local business and supporting contacts.
• Use excellent communication skills in order to influence a wide range of internal audiences including respective product, function, or regional executive management partners. Negotiate internally often at higher levels on matters which will have a major impact on the area managed.
• Gain knowledge and keep abreast of industry developments, new laws, rules, products, technologies and applications and considers implications for the business and audit universe and plan.

Qualifications and Competencies

The Senior Audit Manager is a senior level position responsible for developing and executing a robust Audit Plan, in coordination within the Audit Financial Crime and/or other Internal Audit (IA) teams.

This role directs the timely delivery of complex high quality, value-added assurance and audit reports for both first and second Lines of Defense to meet the requirements of the Boards of Citigroup and Citibank, their affiliates and of Citi’s respective regulators, globally. This role will contribute to the scoping and execution of global Sanctions, Anti-Bribery & Corruption (AB&C) programs coverage in accordance with established IA methodology and professional auditing standards, legal entity governance reporting, and other audit issue validation.

The candidate should also have functional knowledge of local regulatory requirements for Sanctions and Bribery & Corruption controls that have been established to comply with the United States and other in-country regulatory requirements, Citi policies and procedures, provisions and guidelines established by the United States Treasury Department and other regulatory agencies as related to sanctions and bribery & corruption. The candidate must have a working knowledge of regulatory requirements (international and/or regional) and the related risks and controls and demonstrate the ability to work with senior management and lead audit team execution.

In this role, you’re expected to:

• Execute audit from end to end, draft audit reports, validate IA and regulatory issues and conduct business monitoring activities and deliver governance committee reports;
• Participate in major business initiatives and pro-actively advise and assist the business on change initiatives;
• Implement integrated auditing concepts and technology, and follow trends in the Audit field and adapt them for the Audit function;
• Applies an in-depth understanding of the inter-relationships of business and support units throughout the corporation and how they impact the overall control environment and the audit approach;
• Uses excellent communication skills in order to influence a wide range of internal audiences including respective product, function, or regional executive management partners. May negotiate internally often at higher levels on matters which will have a major impact on the area managed;
• Identify solutions for a variety of complex and unique control issues, utilizing complex judgement and sophisticated analytical thought;
• Analyze report findings, and recommend interventions where needed, proposing creative and pragmatic solutions to risk and control issues;
• Partner with Directors and Managing Directors to develop approaches for addressing broader corporate emerging issues;
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

As a successful candidate, you’d ideally have the following skills and exposure:

• 10+ years of relevant experience in Financial Services, especially in the areas associated with Risk and Control, Internal Audit, Financial Crime such as Sanctions, Compliance and Regulatory Risk;
• Related certifications [CAMS (Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist), CPA (Certified Public Accountant), ACA (Associate Chartered Accountant), CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst), CIA (Certified Internal Auditor), CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor) or similar] preferred;
• Effective verbal and written communication skills;
• Subject matter expertise regarding audit technology and Sanctions and Anti-Bribery & Corruption programs including emerging risks in the areas;
• Quantitative analytic skills and knowledge, including sampling methodology and statistical theory and methods;
• Understanding of Sanctions alert analysis, case review and investigation;
• Effective project management skills with ability to maintain timely delivery of quality results;
• Effective influencing, negotiation, and relationship management skills;
• Demonstrated ability to remain unbiased in a diverse working environment.

• Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
• Master’s degree preferred

Citi's Internal Audit (IA) division provides independent assessments of the company's governance, risk management and internal control environment for key stakeholders including the Board of Directors, senior management and Citi’s numerous regulators globally. IA is a change agent within Citi to enhance the control culture of Citigroup worldwide and thereby support senior management decision making around the globe.

IA maintains a Quality Assurance (QA) function that reports to the Chief Auditor Quality Assurance and the Group Audit Committee. The QA function provides independent assurance that IA has achieved and is maintaining appropriate standards of internal audit delivery (set against both IA’s own internal standards and the Standards and Code of Ethics of the Institute of Internal Auditors).

The role involves close liaison with the global audit teams to ensure appropriate understanding, access to and the correct application of the IA methodology. In this role, you will be partnering with the audit teams responsible for risk-based audit for Data and Data Transformation coverage globally and also supporting the global QA team.

The role reports to the QA Senior Audit Manager in Mumbai.
 

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate independently as a QA partner across the assigned SME audit teams, forming partnerships at all levels within IA. Support the QA Director (QAD) and Senior Audit Manager (SVP) in fostering a strong QA partnership with the Chief Auditors. 
• Provide assurance over the quality of IA’s work via formal QA products (e.g., Scorecards, Thematic Reviews, Hot reviews and Regulatory/ QA Issue Validation)
• Be a change agent in the continuous improvement program to deliver and maintain a best-in-class QA function, sharing best practices and lessons learned with the IA and QA teams
• Contribute to continued improvement in IA and QA methodology and coverage through the delivery of QA products.
• Assist in the provision of methodology training to auditors, including tailored training as and when needed.
• Assist with periodic ad-hoc projects (e.g., research and development of QA specific training).
• Assist in the review and improvement of global IA methodology and practices, including innovation initiatives.
• Assist the SVP and QAD in reviewing key internal QA deliverables and external deliverables.
• Establish and consistently maintain professional working relationship with key IA stakeholders; assist the QAD and SVP in maintaining IA stakeholder communications through monthly meetings as assigned by the QAD and SVP.
• Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and meet strict deadlines, both internal and external (e.g., regulators).
• Willingness to assist other QADs on an ad-hoc basis to ensure consistent utilization.

Qualifications:

• 7+ years of experience in a related role and/ with subject matter expert in any one or subset of the following areas: Data Architecture, Data Extract, transform, and load (ETL), Data Quality, Data Modelling, Data Analysis, and/ or BI tools and Scripting
• Related certifications (CPA, ACA, CFA, CIA, CISA or certifications on data science or analytics) preferred
• Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
• Demonstrated ability to remain unbiased in a diverse working environment
• Effective negotiation skills and stakeholder management skills
• Effective report writing skills
• Highly analytical

This Firm is looking for a Tax Audit Senior Manager to be based in the Midlands, to take responsibility for the tax specialist work on a portfolio of their largest and most complex audits along with a role on compliance and reporting clients. You will regularly speak with heads of tax from FTSE100 businesses. The scope of the role includes: tax accounting (IFRS, FRS102 and US GAAP); working as a specialist as part of the audit team; managing relationships with client tax and finance teams and a national role in setting the agenda on how the firm undertakes tax audits. The role allows you to put into practice your tax technical skills in a stimulating and challenging environment

What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate will have gained tax audit experience within a big 4 environment or large corporate business, have an in-depth knowledge of IFRS and FRS102 and ideally have some US Gaap experience.
