Main duties: Undertake all IPC audits and provide initial feedback of audit results. Produce timely full audit reports and feedback. Follow up actions plans generated from the audits. Assist in providing an efficient, safe and confidential IPC service. Sensitively challenge inappropriate practice and poor compliance with infection prevention and control policies, within own limitations, supported by the IPCN/s. Maintain good working relationships with colleagues and provider organisations. Develop and implement audit schedules for IPC and validation audits of the hospital sites. Assist in education of others on IPC issues, including Link Nurses, practitioners and clinical housekeepers and the MDT. Due to the nature of the job, needs to be flexible, coping with frequent unpredictable changes within daily workload. Using keyboard and database skills to facilitate documentation and information gathering. Able to use several different software packages including Excel, Microsoft, PowerPoint. Maintains and updates records. Facilitates the exchange of information on infection prevention and control between the NHS and other agencies. Taking phone calls and passing on messages. Assist in the production of training materials when needed. Organising and planning events including hand hygiene week, IPC link programmes, preceptorship, and study days as necessary and collating supporting information materials. Inputting, monitoring and checking data systems used by the IPC team. Developing and maintaining effective electronic and paper filing systems, to ensure that information is kept securely and is accessible to other members of the team. Duties and Responsibilities: Audit and Guidelines Facilitate the development, implementation and monitoring of clinical guidelines across the Womens Directorate. To ensure the Directorate is aware of National and Regional guideline changes in practice that may influence local guideline development, to ensure practice remains up to date & evidence based To ensure a robust repository of guidelines within the Directorate is monitored and maintained, to provide assurance to the Division that the guidelines are up to date and in line with current practice. Work with the audit midwife to facilitate the clinical audit programme within the Directorate incorporating local and national audit requirements that support clinical effectiveness. work with the audit midwife in the facilitation of the development of Clinical Audit & Effectiveness activity plans, assisting the Trust Clinical Audit Team. Participate in inter professional working to ensure annual audit programmes incorporate audit and effectiveness projects to meet the organisations governance objectives. This will include: using national benchmarking data e.g., Royal College Guidelines, NICE recommendations, NCEPOD, NMPA, NHSLA and CQC outcomes and regulations. The Role - Accounts Assistant / Accounting Associate

In this role you will be responsible for assisting the Statutory and Regulatory Reporting Managers with all areas of external reporting, including review and analysis of syndicate level reporting which is used for producing the aggregated financial result for the Lloyd’s Market, and the preparation of reporting for the consolidated Society of Lloyd’s group results. You will have the opportunity to liaise directly with the Market to provide guidance and will play an important role identifying and implementing process improvements.

Principal Accountabilities for the Accounts Assistant / Accounting Associate

Preparation of Lloyd’s reporting under UK GAAP

• Review the Quarterly Monitoring Returns – Part A (QMA) submitted by syndicates to assess compliance with UK GAAP and Lloyd’s guidance

• Analysis of financial information to identify queries required to be sent to managing agents, or to understand trends in the information reported into Lloyd’s


Preparation of Lloyd’s reporting under Solvency II Pillar 3

• Review and analysis of syndicate Pillar 3 submissions (QSR/ASR and QAD/AAD)

• Analysis of financial information to identify queries required to be sent to managing agents, or to understand trends in the information reported into Lloyd’s

• Assisting in the preparation of Lloyd’s Pillar 3 submissions to the PRA at Lloyd’s and syndicate level.


Driving the financial reporting requirements for the Lloyd’s Market

• Providing guidance to the Lloyd’s Market for the preparation of financial returns (QMA, QSR/ASR, QAD/AAD, QF1/AF1) – this involves professionally communicating with managing agents and helping resolve queries, as well as providing appropriate guidance and instructions, in a timely manner

• Assisting in the development and testing of changes to returns/systems for collection of syndicate information

Skills required for the Accounts Assistant / Accounting Associate

• Self-motivated and ability work independently as well as part of a team.

• Ability to manipulate, analyse and review large amounts of data.

• Attention to detail.

• Proficient in use of IT (in particular Microsoft Excel) with the ability to learn applications e.g. Business Objects.
