As a point of contact for the People and Culture team you will support with managing, Freedom of Information requests, sharing and disclosure of personal information requests and data breach recording.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the process for Subject Access Requests by circulating to the appropriate manager, collating and redacting information to comply with Data Protection Act.
Manage and circulate requests for information to the appropriate colleagues, collating responses and supplying information to the requestors, ensuring compliance with the GDPR, Freedom of Information Act and adhering to strict legislative timescales.
Provide subject matter expertise and guidance on information governance including, corporate policies and complex legislation.
Use initiative and analytical skills to apply existing methods and techniques with a range of different customers. Communicate and ensure understanding of required outcomes to comply with the Corporate Information Governance framework.
Create, recommend and implement new, more effective and efficient ways of working, identifying improvements in working practices and sharing best practice.
Support and lead the development of a records management process. Maintaining retention and disposal criteria, identifying areas for review and implementing changes, arranging task and finish groups, be the champion/super user for working groups, audit compliance with clear desk policies.
Undertake investigations and report on internal data protection breaches. Provide managers with the correct documentation and support to investigate within the deadlines required.
Undertake such other duties as may be required from time to time commensurate with the level of the post.

Minimum of 12 months recent experience in a similar role, or context and ideally within a public sector organisation.

This role provides essential administrative support to the school’s Senior Leadership Team and will include an element of HR support. We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and resourceful Administrative Assistant to join our friendly team. We are seeking applicants who can take up their role as soon as possible. The post is offered as a full-time permanent position, working during term-time only plus inset days (39 weeks per year).
SAST will conduct online searches of shortlisted candidates. This will be part of safer recruitment check, and the search will purely be based on whether an individual is suitable to work with children. All aspects of social media and internet searches will be conducted. As care must be taken to avoid unconscious bias and any risk of discrimination, a person who will not be on the appointment panel will conduct the searches and will only share information if and when findings are relevant and of concern. Safeguarding responsibilities associated with this role may include engagement in regulatory activity, such as administering first aid or supporting an upset child. It will have contact with young people on a day-to-day basis.
