The London Borough of Bexley is looking for a committed and self-motivated person to provide support and advice to Care Leavers aged 18-25 as they make the transition from care to independence.



You will work within the Leaving Care team which is part of Bexley’s Looked After Children and Permanence Service.



You will hold a case load of care leavers providing 1:1 support, and undertake the role of Personal Advisor as described in the Children (Leaving Care) Act 2000 and the new Children and Social Work Act 2017. This includes reviewing and updating the Pathways Plan on a 6 monthly basis. The job is based in the Council’s Civic Offices, Bexleyheath but will involve meetings in education and training settings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Answer phone calls politely and professionally.
• Handle general administrative tasks like photocopying and updating client information.
• Audio and copy typing all correspondence to include letters, legal forms (Oyez) and quotes.
• Filing documents and keeping the records organised.
• Arranging appointments and dealing with clients.
• Enter and update data in the company's case management system.
• Work as part of a team, helping with secretarial duties and phone cover when needed.
• Manage confidential information with care.
• Manage case files and draft contracts.

We're looking for:

• Proven experience working as a Conveyancing Legal Secretary.
• The ability to manage a busy workload.

Rota - 4 days on, 4 days off rolling

12 hour shifts

7am-7pm

On site in Dartford

Requirements:

• Must have experience in logistics
• Good administration skills/computer literate
• Experience in customer facing roles
• Must be available to work weekends

Duties include:

• Ensure all transport-related documentation is completed correctly.
• Produce daily, weekly and monthly reports as requested in a timely manner.
• To undertake any other ad hoc duties as and when required by management.
• Driver's daily/ weekly debrief sheet.
• Sundries ordering, driver/porter uniforms and office supplements.
• Speaking with customers.
• Update daily reports for the reports and log any issues.
• Operational administration as required.
• Recording of PCN and appealing PCN where possible.
