Actual job title: Finance & Central Admin Supervisor
The Post - An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Central Services function as a Finance & Central Admin Supervisor. The Finance & Central Admin Supervisor post is responsible for supporting, facilitating and developing the operations of the Union’s Central Service Function, including the delivery of finance, HR and Central Admin processes and administration.
Finance specific duties will include providing financial information to staff, reconciling accounts, updating budgets and posting the cashbook and online shop. Central Administration duties will include supporting the employee lifecycle process, from recruitment and onboarding through to leavers, checking and managing timesheets, keeping up to date records such as HR and sickness absence records and clerking for Union meetings. The postholder will also support the provision of training to new members of staff.
The Person - The successful candidate will have strong administration skills, excellent attention to detail and understand the importance of confidentiality. They will be able to communicate effectively with all members of the staff team and have the ability to work well with others. They will also be able to handle competing priorities and enjoy working in a fast paced environment. Some financial understanding and experience working with a cloud based accounting package would be desirable.
