Business Unit: Infrastructure - Finance

The Tax Associate will provide domestic and international tax compliance and reporting support for Blackstone’s Infrastructure Funds.  This individual will help implement best practices for compliance and reporting as they relate to the infrastructure business as well as:

• Perform and review tax allocations of partnership income.
• Coordinate with financial reporting and tax advisors to ensure proper accounting of transactions.
• Oversee and coordinate collection of tax data from domestic and foreign portfolio companies.
• Compile and review tax data for federal and multi-state tax return preparation (both partnership and corporations), and review of K-1s, federal and state tax returns.
• Identify and perform/review states withholding tax requirements relating to states income allocation to nonresident recipients.
• Identify and perform/review US withholding tax requirements relating to US source income allocations to foreign recipients.
• Coordinate quarterly projections and related estimated payments to ensure accurate and timely reporting to stakeholders.
• Perform and review tax provisions for blocker corporations.
• Respond to tax authority requests, including handling of notices received from taxing authorities.
• Assist in tax audits for various jurisdictions.
• Research domestic and foreign tax reporting issues.
• Review of FATCA and CRS reporting.
• Respond to Limited Partners' tax inquiries or ad-hoc requests.
• Supporting Finance team & liaising with other business units, as needed.

Qualifications:

• Prepare, review and post J/E into Investran (G/L accounting system)
• Manage the cash balance of each fund to determine the need for capital calls, distributions, etc.

Manages diverse team of Wholesale Credit Admin employees supporting the credit fulfillment and service processes for client teams within Global Commercial Banking. The Global Fund Accounting Tactical Opportunities Finance and Accounting group is responsible for the fund performance reporting and all aspects of accounting related to Blackstone Tactical Opportunities. What You’ll Get to Do:

The Law Clerk II will review electronically stored information (“ESI”) hosted on a Relativity database and other platforms to determine if they are potentially subject to attorney-client or other privileges.

More About the Role:

As a Law Clerk II, you will work as a part of a high-performing team where you will be able to hone your analytical and research skills by engaging in intensive document reviews to identify relevant documents and to conduct legal and factual research to build case. In addition:

• Works under the direction of a Supervisory Paralegal, Project Manager or other senior manager performing complex legal research; preparing draft legal documents, such as motions, briefs, memoranda of law, etc.; reviewing documents for relevance and privilege; and assisting attorneys with all phases of litigation.
• Acts independently and/or as a team leader on larger projects.
• Responsibilities may include acting as primary interface with trial attorneys, experts, and other client staff.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

• Law degree. 
• Must have at least two to three years of progressively more responsible experience on litigation support projects including proven capabilities and communication skills to interact with clients and attorneys
• Requires sound working knowledge of federal and state court systems, legal research procedures, and legal research resources.  
• Requires excellent written and oral communication skills and thorough knowledge of legal research tools such as LEXIS and Westlaw. 
• Must have hands-on familiarity with a variety of computer applications, including word processing, databases (such as document review and file management systems), spreadsheets, and imaging.  
• Role also requires hands-on familiarity with eDiscovery applications and knowledge of eDiscovery procedures and resources.

Job Title: Investor Product Strategy, Analyst                        

Job Description:       

Blackstone’s Investor Product Strategy group is responsible for the preparation and presentation of all marketing and fundraising materials related to each respective business’ funds. The group liaises with client coverage for investor reporting and client servicing. The role primarily focuses on financial information, investment strategy, performance related data, research and legal/regulatory matters in executing on the marketing needs of all prospective, current and closed funds within the alternative asset manager’s Private Equity businesses.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in the preparation and review of all aspects of the marketing and fundraising cycle from fund concept, PPM preparation, launch, “road show” presentations, marketing, LP diligence and closing of investor capital commitments
• Coordinate, create, and review bespoke investor presentations that leverage investment activity and valuations across all funds
• Review completed limited partner due diligence requests and coordinate investor queries
• Coordinate the collection and analysis of key metrics across multiple internal teams and external resources
• Assist in preparation and review of bespoke fund performance analyses leveraging iLevel
• Assist in the development, preparation, and review of annual LP conference materials, pitch books, performance memos
• Draft presentations and memorandums for senior management
• Coordinate with and support broader finance and marketing teams in dealing with new product development, existing clients and prospective investors

Qualifications:                                   

• Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a quantitative discipline; strong academic record
• 1+ year of experience in investor reporting, valuations, investment banking or other related experience
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills
• Experience reviewing and managing junior resources

Job Description:

This role will report to the Senior Vice President in Employee Relations and will be responsible for providing advice and expertise to managers and HR Business Partners with a focus on performance management, risk assessments and mitigation, firm culture, and employee transition out of the firm.

Responsibilities include the following:

• Work closely with employees to understand the criteria for success.

• Educate and advise managers to provide clear expectations and feedback.

• Coordinate with managers to develop performance improvement plans, and work closely with manager and employee to provide support, direction, and clear communication throughout the process.

• Investigate potential violation of policies and monitor and address employee behavior throughout the firm; ensure consistent and fair approach firmwide.

• Partner with ER team, business managers, HRBPs to provide resolutions for escalated or complex issues and concerns.

• Work with the ER team to facilitate training for managers and employees.

• Partner with the Benefits Team to navigate sensitive employee issues including accommodation/leave requests.

• Communicate and ensure employee understanding of relevant employment laws, regulations, and organizational policies and answer non-standard questions by managers and employees as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree

• 5+ years of applicable HR related experience, preferably with a focus on Employee Relations

• Knowledge of employment laws

• Ability to resolve conflicts and diffuse employee related issues, concerns, situations

• Ability to quickly evaluate options and alternatives to decide on a plan of action
