Job Summary
We are seeking a creative team member to join our Southeast Michigan video production team as a communications specialist. You will work with a team of passionate people who produce compelling content highlighting our work to enhance health, inspire hope and save lives. This role will work with video and photo teammates, senior leaders, marketing communications colleagues, partner agencies, patients and physicians to produce dynamic, informative and inspiring videos. We are looking for a professional who can be agile in meeting video needs and is experienced in visual storytelling while working collaboratively on projects. Our video team members understand film and TV field production and work in a variety of settings including clinical environments, corporate offices, community events and video studios.
Essential Functions
Creating video projects and video content. Including: patient testimonials, leader messages, external and internal web videos and social media clips.
Composing on-camera interviews and leader addresses. Shooting creative B-Roll and editing finished videos with polished graphics and sound.
Collaborating and creating with all team members: Medical, Marketing, Internal Communications and Executive Management.
Organizing and budgeting time constraints of shooting and editing. Planning equipment, software needs and post production elements to complete projects on deadline.
Communicating effectively with team members to organize projects via email, Outlook, Word, Teams and Zoom.
Designing simple, aesthetically pleasing 2D motion graphics from scratch as well as using templated approaches and Adobe Essential Graphics.
Distributing media with current knowledge of delivery methods for social media, web and other digital platform.
Qualifications
Required:
Associate's Degree or related experience in photography and/or video production.
3 years of relevant experience 3-5 years of experience in a marketing or agency setting in photography and/or video production.
Preferred:
Working knowledge with professional HD & 4K video cameras and understanding of lenses, lighting, audio and peripheral equipment.
Adobe Creative Suite Proficiency – Premiere, Media Encoder, After Effects, Photoshop, Audition. Experience with MS Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
Ability to work independently as a self-starter and as a team member. Must be extremely organized and detail-oriented. Demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills.
