The service is comprised of six flats, and supports individuals who have a learning disability and/or autism. - Be willing to work flexibly according to the needs of the service, to include both days, nights and weekends on a rota basis

We are looking for support workers to join our small, friendly existing team working at one of our 24 hour supported living services for seven adults who each live in a one bedroomed furnished flat in the beautiful, conservation area of Stanwix in Carlisle (the project is easily accessible on public transport). You will provide positive support to individuals to enable them to participate in community activities, you will also work with and develop a personal support plan that addresses individual specific needs helping service users to develop domestic, financial and emotional management and achieve greater independence and self-esteem. You will actively liaise with statutory, voluntary agencies and advocates/family members.

We are looking for individuals who are highly motivated, have a positive outlook and are able to engage and motivate individuals to participate in a range of activities. You will have a keen insight into the challenges that our client face on a daily basis and awareness of the delivery of supported living care. Prior support related experience is advantageous however, Creative Support will provide a full training package which includes the Diploma in Health and Social Care Level 2 qualification.

You must be able to work flexible shifts over a seven day rota which will include morning, afternoon shifts and sleep-in shifts. You should enjoy working as part of a team.

Creative Support is a national, fast growing not-for-profit organisation providing support to individuals with a wide range of care needs. We are currently looking for Residential Support Workers to join our established team in Bedford, Bedfordshire located off of Goldington Road.

Our residential support workers provide care and support for 5 individuals with learning and physical disabilities, and other needs to enjoy an excellent quality of life in this residential care home. The service is located 10 minutes from Bedford town centre off of the Goldington Road and near to Goldington Green. There is free onsite and on-street parking for staff and good transport links via the Number 10 and 27 buses. The service is a large bungalow with an expansive garden which the individuals love to spend time in during the warmer weather. Each service user has their own personalised bedroom and share a large communal living room complete with an aquarium and arts and crafts station, as well as a large shared kitchen where they enjoy eating meals together.

Individuals living at the service are sociable and active and enjoy lots of interaction with their staff. They enjoy spending quality time with the staff team at the service and out in the community. Examples of activities include walks around the local area, going shopping, sensory activities, shopping in the town centre, day trips out, visiting arts and crafts, and board games.

Support Worker Duties Include:

• Providing respectful and dignified personal care
• Medication administration
• Working shifts which include evenings, weekends and bank holidays
• Supporting service users with the activities they enjoy, such as bowling and going on walks around the Bedford area
• Collaborating with colleagues, families and involved professionals to ensure a coordinated and consistent service
• Supporting individuals to manage all aspects of their home environment and ensure it is reflective of their personal tastes and preferences
• Support with budgeting and finances
• Support with cooking and meal preparation
Experience is not essential for this role as full training will be provided. However, you must be able to demonstrate a warm and caring personality with a positive and proactive approach to the role. Team Leader Duties:

We are looking for team leader to work alongside our existing management team, based predominantly in Poplar Tree Court. Poplar Tree is a service for up to 18 adults. They adults have mixed needs ranging from personal care, moving and handling and also residents who live very independently.

The team leader will be required to lead a team of support workers to ensure that the service provides outstanding care to our residents. They will be responsive to issues, take ownership of audit and quality assurance work, health and safety, and line manage a number of support staff. They will work alongside the registered manager to lead on all aspects of CQC Regulation and internal governance. They will ensure good communication with the wider team and ensure our service users enjoy a varied range of person centred activities, whilst living in a high quality home.
The right candidate will be person centered, organised, and have experience of line management as well as working within a CQC registered service supporting adults with a range of health needs.
