We are seeking a highly committed, proactive and professional Registered Service Manager to lead the operational management of a specialist supported living service located in Braintree. The service has been developed to meet the needs of people who have a learning disability and/or autism and complex needs, including mental health needs and behaviours which can challenge.

The service supports 10 people in an attractive new-build supported housing scheme, commissioned as part of the Transforming Care Programme in Essex. The accommodation has been carefully designed to meet the needs of individuals with a range of needs and special requirements. The service is currently rated as Outstanding by CQC.

All tenants (including current residents) need well planned, personalised support to allow them to make a successful transition to supported living and to become more confident and independent. As a number of service users have forensic histories or can present with high risk behaviours, there is a requirement for positive and robust risk management and effective behaviour support strategies.

As the Registered Service Manager you will ensure that the service is of the highest quality, meeting all CQC standards and contract requirements and that this can be demonstrated through comprehensive quality and contract monitoring processes. You will ensure that the service works in a cohesive and coordinated manner and that service users experience fully integrated care, support and housing.

You will ensure that the care and support delivered is truly personalised and provided in accordance with agreed care plans, enabling service users to enjoy wellbeing, quality of life and community connections. • As the Design Manager, you'll be working within the regional build team, supporting them in building projects
• You will be responsible for the management and delivery of design information in accordance with the agreed design programme and deliverable schedule
• For ensuring that the appointed design consultants carry out their duties in line with their appointment
• Input at both pre construction and construction stage of a project
• Mentoring junior staff
• The production of design programmes, design scopes, design responsibility matrices, appointments, schedules to record progress, upline reporting, attending/chairing necessary meetings and workshops
• For ensuring that the design is compliant to relevant legislation and technical requirements

Experience and Qualifications required:

• Previous experience working as a Design Manager for a regional / national Contractor
• Experience of undertaking design management activities at both tender and construction stages
• In-depth knowledge of construction processes and materials
• Knowledge of current design, planning legislation and compliance issues
• Previous experience on Education projects

Role Overview:

An opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Design Manager to join a leading construction organisation within their Planned Maintenance Division. Within this role, you will work with and support the Design Manager to help drive quality outcomes, enhance buildability and foster innovation.

Your day to day will look like:

• You will work with the Design Manager to produce and manage the design programme
• You will provide guidance to the Project team on any design related issues
• Assist with resolving any design related queries with the design team
• Assist in the production of the Proposals
• Review design deliverables, which will include supplier elements and interfaces to ensure they are within budget are fully coordinated

• Minimum of 2 years experience as the Assistant Design Manager
• Good knowledge of building methods and technologies
