Senior Project Manager - Architecture and Engineering

As Senior Project Manager for Architecture/Engineering at NewYork-Presbyterian, you’ll lead mechanical and electrical infrastructure projects such as replacing major equipment in our existing facilities, that impact the lives of thousands of patients each year. Prioritize, plan, coordinate, implement and administer capital construction projects on an enterprise wide basis to ensure effective program development and project execution. Lead, develop and manage a team of PMs, and by extension, design teams composed of architects and specialty engineering services. Provide guidance in the creation of project plans, project scope, budgets, client approach and design team management. This role is a Director level role with direct reports.

This is a full time position that will have oversight on projects connected to the NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital / Columbia University Irving Medical Center sphere.

Required Criteria 

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, and/or Design and Construction
• Minimum of 10 years of directly related experience
• Previous healthcare design and/or construction or engineering experience 
• Proficiency in Excel, MS Project, PowerPoint and Project Management Information Systems

Preferred Criteria

• Previous supervisory experience
• Proficiency in Unifier and Microsoft Project systems

Creates and edits a variety of materials such as text files, photos, illustrations and logos, and turns them into effective, coherent, integrated and exciting marketing pieces for Goodwill of Central and Northern Arizona (GCNA) and its affiliated entities. Assists with training and mentoring less experienced Graphic Designers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible for all visual and graphic elements of the following: advertising campaign digital assets, brick and mortar location signage, event branding and collateral development, and other printed and digital design elements. Works closely with department leaders and is accountable for the quality, consistency, and effectiveness of all graphic art and design. Reviews artistic design strategy and requirements with Team Members in Marketing as well as all functional and support departments within GCNA. Ideates original and production-based design work, conceptualizes graphics required, produces sample layouts, then edits and modifies based on feedback. Supports in guiding the graphic design team. Partners with marketing project management leads to provide art direction for photo and video shoots. Partners with marketing project management leads, and other creative team counterparts to collaboratively ideate bring to life creative concepts. Recommends standards or parameters (in conjunction with contracted advertising agency) for usage of approved graphics and monitors usage for adherence. Prepares print materials in accordance to print standard requirements and supports in print production of design work. Assists with the training and mentoring of Graphic Designers, and is an active collaborating partner of the Marketing and Communications team. GENERAL FUNCTION:

The Principal Solution Architect is a seasoned individual who can work independently and with very little management guidance. This individual is recognized as an expert in this field and has the knowledge and experience to be a recognized leader in this craft. Will evaluate, design and implement technology solutions to build and progress technology strategies with a line of business. In the majority of situations, the incumbent will be the application owner responsible for third party, purchased software aligned with a LOB. The Director, Supply Chain Design and Execution – Medical Distribution will report to the VP, Supply Chain Flow and Strategy – Medical Distribution. With approximately $1 Billion in U.S. supply chain costs, this individual will partner with Operations and Commercial teams and use data-driven analysis, strategic thinking, initiative ideation & prioritization, and project management skills to identify current supply chain capacity and capability gaps and deploy solutions to improve end-to-end flow of product through the supply chain.  This individual must have experience driving end-to-end solutions and managing analytical teams in one or more critical supply chain functions (e.g., transportation, distribution, replenishment, network design, Capital planning, deployment, etc.).  Ideal candidate will also have experience across different industries, allowing him/her to draw upon and implement best practices. Must be a detail-oriented self-starter with the ability to lead multiple strategic projects as well as a team of highly talented Data Scientists, Business Analysts, and Project Managers.

Accountabilities

• Design end-to-end supply chain product flow concepts that, where applicable, leverage the broader Cardinal Health volume, systems, scale, and partnerships, while providing the Medical Segment with consistently higher levels of service
• Multi-echelon capacity and throughput planning that optimizes service level and cost, given building capacities, product availability, labor/staffing schedule, transportation, customer delivery schedules, etc.
• Works to identify and unlock capacity and throughput constraints across the supply chain through short-term projects/initiatives and medium-term investments
• Leads 3-5 year capacity, capability, and capital strategy planning and deployment – ensuring Medical distribution can meet future demand, with optimized efficiencies across the value chain

Qualifications

• 12-15 years of proven supply chain experience across multiple industries and functions preferred

• LEAN/Six Sigma Black Belt certification preferred
• Working knowledge of Llamasoft suite of modeling tools preferred

BALTIMORE CONVENTION CENTER

Intern - Public Art & Building History Researcher/Archivist

                     Part-Time 20-30 hrs./wk.       Salary $ 15.00/hr.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE POSITION:

The Baltimore Convention Center wishes to research and then produce thorough documentation surrounding its public art collection. This will include reviewing archival documentation, researching artists and their works, interviewing pertinent stakeholders, and producing documents that will be used to create content for the organization’s website and self-guided tours.

Additionally, as the Convention Center will be celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2029, the Intern will start to identify historic photos and documents from within the city and agency archives and propose a list of assets that should be digitized in preparation for a retrospective.

Interns at the Baltimore Convention Center are hired with a specific set of tasks or project in mind.  The goal is to create meaningful job experiences for the student while providing the agency tangible outcomes that leave lasting impact.  The position will work closely with all departments, as well as relevant entities to further the assigned work such as the Baltimore City Archives and the Baltimore Office of Promotion and the Arts

The Intern is a part-time hourly position that will report to leadership within the Sales, Services, and Marketing Department.

Incumbents receive moderate supervision from a technical superior. Employees in this class work a conventional workweek averaging 20-30 hours a week. The work of this position takes place in a predominantly seated work location but will require occasional walking, bending, and lifting items no more than 50lbs. Occasional offsite visits to pertinent locations will be required, however a personal vehicle is not required.

Engaging the management and curatorial teams at the Baltimore Office of Promotion and the Arts to align agency information with that of the City’s public art collection records.

Work alongside the agency’s marketing department to design web content surrounding the Center’s public art.

Identify relevant photos and documents from within the city and agency archives to the creation and operation of the BCC since its opening in 1979.

Propose a list of archival items that should be digitized in preparation for a retrospective.

Performs related work as required.

• Experience in a digital content role, either in-house or within an agency working with a high-profile brand.
• Proven graphic design experience, including basic animation.

SUMMARY

The Project/Design Engineer designs, develops or redesigns new or existing products.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Designs and details components and assemblies utilizing Solid Works and Mechanical AutoCAD software.

Looks for opportunities to redesign legacy products.

Creates designs and documentation to facilitate manufacture of products including drawings, bills of material, material specifications and design files.

Guides and coordinates efforts of engineers, designers and technicians.

Develops and maintains engineering designs, calculations, processes and procedures.

Responsible for taking the lead on design projects from concept to production.

Produces necessary engineering calculations and component specifications.

Interfaces with designers and other engineers in team environment.

Checks work of others for accuracy, tolerances, as well as the applicability of the design.

Develops project schedule to meet deadlines.

Responsible for aiding in own self-development by being available and receptive to all training made available by the company.

This role aims to deliver comprehensive technology solutions for business opportunities.  The role, along with the team, blends business and technical expertise to select and design solutions that advance Integrated Energy's strategic goals.  This role would be working within an architecture group on AGL’s Virtual Power Plant (VPP), an exciting and innovative solution formed by a distributed set of connected solar batteries (and other asset types).  As part of the role, there would also be involvement in and exposure to the technology that supports AGL’s wholesale energy trading operation.

The Architecture team provides thought leadership to identify opportunities for transforming a business capability. We take a structured approach to understand business problems, identify synergies, and create a compelling case for change to invest in technology platforms to provide cost-effective, flexible, and fit-for-purpose solutions.  We combine in-depth knowledge of the energy industry – in particular Distributed Energy and Energy Trading, along with deep technical expertise in Azure cloud-native solutions.

The hiring range for this position is $22.89 - $28.61/ hourly

• At least 1 year of experience completing residential water-wise landscape designs

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience completing commercial/multi-family water-wise landscape designs preferred but not required

• Knowledge of water-wise landscape design principles
