CACI is seeking a Data Architect to join our Health Surveillance and Analytics team. The Data Architect will design and maintain data repositories, data lakes, data models, and resilient data ingest pipelines to meet current and future customer needs. The Data Architect will also develop data models that enable reporting and analysis on cloud-based analytics platforms.

Location: Remote; Atlanta, GA is preferable (for client site visits)

About the Role: As a Data Architect you will:

• Design and maintain secure data repositories, data lake(s), delta lake(s), and data models. 
• Lead and maintain cloud-based data catalogs for governance and discovery using tools such as Azure Data Catalog and Alation. 
• Ensure data stores allow robust retrieval to support reporting and analytics. 
• Develop scalable and resilient data ingest pipelines that allow data streaming and accommodate structures utilized by public health entities for information exchange.
• Monitor performance of ingest pipelines and address bottlenecks / SLA issues.
• Ensure integration with reporting and analytics platforms utilized. 
• Devise and implement disaster recovery and data backup plans. Ensure customer SLAs can be met for recovery / failover.

Required Qualifications:

• BA/BS degree + 15 years in the industry or MA/MS + 12 years in the industry
• 10+ years’ experience in designing large data repositories including application of recognized performance optimization techniques such as partitioning, indexing, and enablement of full text searches. 
• Experience architecting scalable storage solutions using the Azure cloud.
• Experience with Databricks lakehouse including Delta Lake
• Experience in Microsoft SQL Server and Azure SQL, and Azure Data Factory (ADF)
• Demonstrated expertise building and evolving data models ensuring integrity of data sets. 
• Strong knowledge of data warehousing methodologies and data modeling concepts.
• Understanding of data sets collected, transformed, and maintained by public health agencies such as the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). 
• Ability to communicate (verbally and written) in English, in a clear, concise manner.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience supporting cloud-based data repositories (data lakes, etc.) used by epidemiologists, public health data scientists and analysts, and/or public health information systems.

Leidos is seeking an experienced Mongo Database Architect to develop IT strategies to ensure the systems meet existing and future requirements based on needs and regulations. Works to design, implement, and maintain a data pipeline and analytical environment using reporting tools, modeling metadata, and building reports and dashboards.

 Responsible for performing tasks relating to Database Management System (DBMS) applications, including definition, design, structure, documentation, upgrades, long-range requirements, operational guidelines, and protection. Duties include database modeling and design, database architecture, metadata and repository creation. Uses data mapping, data mining and data transformational analysis tools to design and develop databases. Support duties may include entering and reviewing data within the database, ensuring user data integrity, maintaining database support tools, database tables and dictionaries, recovery and back-up procedures, and making recommendations regarding enhancements and/or improvements.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Set up, manage, and monitor MongoDB, and Cassandra.

• Identify database bottlenecks and provide remediation steps as well as implement database backup solutions.

• Design and implement security configuration including grants, roles, and profiles, perform database security monitoring and perform database auditing and implement security standards.

• Design, implement, and test enterprise disaster recovery solutions and high availability database solutions including sharding, partitioning, clustering, and replication. Design and implement logical database schemas including ERD diagramming.

• Perform database schema change management, control, and execute code deployments to upper database environments and execute database data movement to satisfy ETL, backup/recover.

• Administer and maintain ETL tools including Informatica.

Basic Qualifications:

• Develops technical solutions that require collaboration with internal experts, deep analyses and understanding of impact on end-product/solution. Develops solutions to technical problems.

• Experience in leading technical teams.

• Experience with multiple database types such as SQL, Redis and MongoDB.

• Experience building and integrating the at the application and database level.

• Experience developing REST/SOAP APIs and messaging protocols and formats.

• At least 2 years of theoretical and practical background in statistical analysis, machine learning, predictive modeling, and/or optimization.

• Experience prototyping front-end visualizations utilizing data visualization suites such as Kibana or Splunk.

• Experience implementing and building event driven architectures.

• Familiarity with event driven finite state machines.

• SQL proficiency to include schema design, data definition, and advanced  queries.

• Experience with MPP data warehouses.

• Experience with creating automated data pipelines for complex systems.

• Extensive Linux server management background.

• Can prototype visualizations with lightweight data visualization suite.

• Excellent verbal and written communications skills along with the ability to present technical data and approaches to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Experience as a Mongo Data Architect, with a blend of database experience with MongoDB, SQL Server, and Cassandra.

• Experience architecting and maintaining complex databases including MongoDB, Cassandra, and MySQL.

• Automating NoSQL day-to-day operational activities (security, index maintenance, backups, disaster recovery, and installation).

• Experience in designing, deploying, and supporting multiple database platform solutions in a multi-zone clustered environment.

• Experience in designing and implementing replication, partitioning, and clustering between multiple data centers.

• BS and 4 – 8 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2 – 6 years of prior relevant experience.

• Ability to be cleared by the US Government via a Minimum Background Investigation (MBI).

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience working on projects in an IRS/Treasury environment.

• Working with Python, Shell, and PowerShell scripting.

Philips Transparency Details

Total Target Earnings is composed of base salary + target incentive. At 85% to 120% performance achievement, the Target Earning potential is $107,000 to $132,000 annually, plus company fleet/car.  Total compensation may be higher or lower dependent upon individual performance.

We’re looking for a highly motivated individual based in North America, who will contribute to the business success of Ciena’s Broadband and Routing Portfolio.   As part of the broader Broadband and Routing Portfolio PLM Organization, this role will lead and build a newly formed team tasked with ensuring customer IP solution deployments are designed and executed successfully. Drawing on a tight coupling with the broader IP Software/Platform PLM organization as well as close engagement with a wide range of internal teams (e.g. Sales, Services Delivery, Customer Support, Solutions Engineering) the successful candidate will lead overall Project Delivery teams for specific customer deployments.
