About the role of M&E Senior Quantity Surveyor

As an M&E Senior Quantity Surveyor you will have the chance to work with a leading MEP sub-contractor, with this project being based in North West London. This project involves managing the technical aspects of a project that has recently begun. You will report directly to the Commercial Director and receive support from the Commercial Manager on site.

Responsibilities for M&E Senior Quantity Surveyor

• Feasibility, Price/forecast the cost of the different materials needed for the project.
• Preparing tender documents, contracts, budgets & bills of quantities.
• Liaising with clients & contractors to ensure the budget requirements are met.
• Managing cashflow for large MEP packages throughout delivery.
• Compiling and issuing commercial reports to the project leadership team for CVR's
• Preparing forecasts and reports on financial status and cash flow.
• Ensuring that the month on month cash position is positive and the forecasted project margin is met or exceeded.

Requirements for M&E Senior Quantity Surveyor

• Experience with commercially managing high value M&E projects.
• Proficient in the use of MS Office, Excel skills being a must.
• Knowledge of tender processes and have experience in handling contracts and legal issues.
• Experience of M&E Quantity Surveying and financial knowledge of construction costs.
• An understanding of contracts and the tender process as well as being able to read drawings and understand contracts.

The Project is valued circa £10M and is a CAT B Fit Out project. You will be responsible for managing the site and will be reporting to the Project Manager daily. Whilst managing the site, you must also be maintaining a high standard of health & safety while ensuring the project is completed on time and within budget.

The ideal Site Manager must have:

• Have CAT A and CAT B Fit Out experience
