Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor

Division: UK Construction

Location: Northwest

Senior Quantity Surveyors, are you ready to embark on a new journey?

Do you want to join a thriving Tier 1 contractor?

Projects on average range between £10 - £50 million and the sectors include: Leisure, Justice, Defence, Education, Health and Commercial schemes.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Exposure to the full project lifecycle with involvement across pre-construction through to project delivery
• Working alongside the project delivery team, to ensure the contractual control and cost management of projects across different sectors
• Managing the commercial aspects of subcontract accounts from procurement to interim and final account agreement
• Being involved with the final account negotiation to ensure the best possible outcome
• Manage junior Surveyors

Skills & experience:

• Main contractor experience as the SQS within the Construction space
• Experience of different contract forms
• Experience on projects ranging between £10m to £50m
• Experience in establishing, managing and leading a large project team

Location: Northwest

Contract: Full Time, Permanent

Salary: Competitive

What will you be responsible for?

• As the Senior Quantity Surveyor you will be a key part of the commercial team working on projects that range in value from £10M - £80M.
• Advising on financial feasibility of projects at early stages.
• Organising the division of projects into component work packages for procurement.
• Assessing returns from sub-contractors and awarding work packages.
• Leading a team of experienced Surveyors.

What are they looking for?

• Expert Knowledge of NEC and JCT contracts.
• Prior experience in acting as the commercial lead on high value construction projects.
• Degree qualified.
• Based within the Northwest region.
• Experience working on projects £10m+.
